The Arab Soc Bradford is aimed to all students of the University of Bradford, Arabs and non Arabs, and to all members of the community of the City of Bradford. We will aim to promote the Arab culture to all members of any background. Join us and discover how to "study and play the Arab way".
This will offer the non Arabs an opportunity to learn and experience Arab traditions, arts and history, as well as offering a platform for Arab students, expressing themselves, getting to know each other and settling in better at the university. Everything at our society will have an Arab twist to it. Our welcome dinner will be an opportunity to try our vast selection of Arab and Middle Eastern cuisine, in addition, to an exquisite selection of Arab sweets and drinks. Our galleries will be an opportunity to learn about Arab history, literature and art. Our fashion show will be one of a kind, bringing together the traditional dress with the latest twists in Arab fashion. Our play will be modern, fun and lively yet deeply rooted in Arab history. Our celebrations of Arab countries will give all members an insight into the varieties within the Arab world. From the magic of Al Maghreb we will sail on a journey to the Egyptian sand and Nile. We will rest at the oasis in the Arabian Peninsula then travel to the holiness of Palestine and smell the Yasmeen of Damascus to settle finally under the strong Cedars of Lebanon. Arabs are known for being generous and to celebrate this trait please join our society and learn of all the benefits of joining.
