We hosted Connect Bradford at Bradford Central Foodbank yesterday. There are so many amazing organisations and charities who support people who've hit a crisis in Bradford so we wanted to help everyone connect so we can all provide a more well rounded solution.

We had 56 people from 28 organisations here including Green Doctors, School home Support, BDC Mind, Carers Resource, Horton housing, WoW Social Prescribing team, Bradford College, WISHH PACT team, Probation Service, YMCA, Early Help, Groundwork, Safe Spaces, Bradford Families and Children Trust, Equality Together, Bevan, Making Space Bradford, Airedale mental health carer support, Zarach, Immigration and Asylum Unit, Staying Put, Inspired Neighbourhood, Housing Options, Bradford Council Outreach Team, Bradford R**e Crisis and Sexual Abuse Survivors Service, The Bridge project, Accent Housing, CFO Bradford Activity Hub and Rohingya Associationn UK

Thank you to everyone who donated or gave their time in september, it has made a huge difference! 💚

In september alone, we fed 655 families including 911 adults and 442 children, thats 1353 people in total with emergency food parcels.

Our foodbank is currently looking for donations of toiletries to help support local families and individuals in our community.

Everyday essentials such as shampoo, shower gel, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap and sanitary products can make a huge difference to someone who is struggling, helping someone feel cared for and supported, and like themself again. 💚

Donations can be dropped off at the foodbank or at one of our local drop-off points, or bought through our online shop to arrive with our delivery.

Our foodbank is currently in need of long-life milk, baked beans and pasta to help support local families and individuals in our community.
Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference and helps us provide essential food to those who need it.
📍 Donations can be dropped off at the foodbank or at one of our local drop-off points. Or even bought on the online shop to arrive with our next delivery.

We try to look at the bigger picture and connect people with the support they need to move forward.

We’re delighted to have Abdul from joining us at the foodbank. Abdul can offer support with a range of different needs, including getting back into work, mental health, budgeting and much more.

Having Abdul here is a fantastic addition to the support we’re able to offer our community, and we’re really pleased to have him with us. 🙌

Every week, you give your time, energy and kindness to help support people in our community. From preparing food and washing up to creating a welcoming and friendly environment, the difference you make is truly incredible.

Volunteering is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and gain valuable experience that can be added to your CV. Whether it's food preparation, food hygiene and health and safety, teamwork, communication, organisation or time management, volunteering can help build confidence and open doors to new opportunities.
