Appreciation post💚

Every couple of weeks, we collect a trolley full of donations from Asda, and each time we are reminded just how generous and caring our community is.

These essential items have been donated by shoppers who, while doing their own shopping, are thinking of those who are struggling locally. Your kindness is making a real difference to families and individuals across our community.

We are blessed to receive regular donations of fruit and vegetables from local supermarkets, but it is these donations from members of the public that truly make a huge difference. The tins, pasta, cereal, toiletries and other essentials you place in the trolley help us provide balanced and practical support to those who need it most.

You may never meet the people whose lives you are touching, but please know that you are the unsung heroes of our community. Your generosity, compassion and willingness to think of others ensure that nobody has to face difficult times alone.

THANK YOU KEIGHLEY💚

A huge thank you to the amazing Keighley community for all of your support over the weekend. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we managed to collect 52 crates of donations, which will make a real difference to local people and families who are struggling within our community.

We also raised an incredible £197.68 in cash donations, which will be used to purchase essential food items over the coming months to help support those most in need.

Every donation, no matter how small, can make a huge difference in someone’s life, and we are so grateful to everyone who stopped to support us.

A special shoutout to Becky at Asda for organising this fantastic food drive, and to our incredible team of volunteers. Giving up your time to support others is never easy, but every single one of you was amazing this weekend — we truly couldn’t do this without you all.

Today we’re proud to be hosting a community food drive at Asda Keighley, where our amazing team of volunteers are on hand all day to receive any donations that people are able to spare. Every single item donated makes a huge difference to individuals and families across our local community.💚

A special shoutout goes to our young volunteers, who have been speaking with customers throughout the day with such confidence, kindness and respect. They are a real credit to themselves and our community, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way they are representing the foodbank today.

A huge thank you to a kind passerby who noticed our community fridge and came in to learn more. After hearing about what we do, he went to Asda and returned with a trolley full of essential donations for those in our local community who need it most. 💛

We’d also like to extend our continued gratitude to Sainsbury's and Aldi UK for their ongoing support through regular surplus food donations.

🎉 Keighley Community Fridge Turns 1! 🎉

We’re proud to celebrate one year of supporting our local community—made possible by our incredible volunteers, especially our dedicated young people.

A big thank you to Town Mayor Cllr Chris Heard and Mayor’s Attendant Steve Clayton for joining us and showing their support.

In just one year, we’ve:
✅ Supported 4,638 families
✅ Distributed 66,247 items
✅ Helped around 100 people every week

With a no questions asked approach and no referrals needed, we’re here for anyone who needs support.

Huge thanks to Markazi Jamia Masjid for providing the space, our amazing volunteers, generous donors, and local supermarkets Aldi, Sainsbury’s, Asda & Morrisons for their continued support and surplus food donations.
