COMMUNITY SAFETY ALERT – GOLD JEWELLERY SECURITY ⚠️

Following recent reports involving a jewellery business on Great Horton Lane, we would like to remind residents to take extra care with high-value gold items and jewellery.

With gold prices remaining high, jewellery kept at home can become a target for criminals.

Please consider the following safety measures:

🔐 Store valuable gold items in a bank safety deposit box where possible.

🏠 If keeping jewellery at home, use a secure, concealed safe.

🚪 Check your home security, including locks, alarms, CCTV and doorbell cameras.

📱 Avoid displaying or discussing high-value items on social media.

👤 Be cautious about who you allow into your home.

📹 Do you have CCTV or doorbell footage covering Great Horton Lane?
Please review any recordings for suspicious activity around the time of recent incidents.

📞 If you have information or notice suspicious behaviour, contact police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.
A few simple precautions can help protect your valuables and keep our community safe.

Vision Zero Safer Driving Sessions

Due to high demand, additional Vision Zero Safer Driving sessions have been scheduled. Delivered by West Yorkshire Police, these free 1.5-hour sessions in Bradford support the Vision Zero Initiative, which aims to eliminate road deaths and serious injuries.

The sessions are interactive and suitable for residents, drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians. They focus on improving road safety awareness, tackling anti-social vehicle use, and addressing key issues specific to West Yorkshire.

Participants will learn about Vision Zero principles, local road safety challenges, and data trends, while exploring practical solutions such as infrastructure
improvements, enforcement, and education. The sessions also encourage individuals and communities to adopt safer behaviours on the roads.
