🎄Help us make Christmas extra special for Bradford’s little ones! 🎄

Every year, Home-Start Bradford hosts a Christmas party for the families we support, bringing our families together for a special day of festive fun. ❤

We want to make sure that every child gets to open a present, including their brothers and sisters, and this year we are especially in need of gifts suitable for babies and toddlers aged 0–2. 🎁

Could you help us put a smile on a little one’s face this Christmas?

We would be incredibly grateful for donations of new, unwrapped gifts suitable for children aged 0–2, as well as gifts for children aged 3–5.

Every gift, however small, can help make Christmas feel a little more special for a child and their family.

Happy National Poetry Day!

Read how dad Aaron found the transition to fatherhood much harder than expected and turned to writing poetry as a release and to support his mental health.

Aaron said: "Writing became a way for me to process my fears, worries and hopes as a new father. It helped me make sense of what I was feeling, and that's really why I got in touch. If my poems help even one dad feel a little less alone or encourage someone to talk about how they're feeling, then sharing them will have been worthwhile."

Finding strength through loss 💙

When Sam experienced repeated pregnancy loss alongside the death of his mum and losing his job, he found himself struggling to cope.

Through Dad Matters Bradford, Sam found someone to talk to, a safe space to process what he had been through, and connections to wider support.

His story is a powerful reminder that dads experience grief too and that asking for support can make a real difference.
