7/3/26 May Allah reward all our volunteers who assisted in collecting and respectfully arranging the Islamic literature and cleaning the Barkerend Road masjid.

The Islamic material has been temporarily placed in a secure and pure location, in accordance with the guidance mentioned by Allamah Ibn Abideen Shami in Radd al Muhtar, where it is kept โ€œin a pure place where the hand of a person in a state of ritual impurity cannot reach it, nor dust nor filth.โ€

We are currently assessing the most appropriate and respectful options for its permanent handling and preservation, and further updates will be shared in due course, in sha Allah.

Following reports of Islamic literature at JTI Barkerend Road Masjid, the Trustees of Jamiyat Tabligh-ul-Islam met on Sunday and arranged for volunteers to attend on Tuesday to organise the Islamic literature in a respectful and dignified manner.

Further work will continue at the mosque in the coming days and months, in shฤโ€™ Allฤh. While some misinformation is circulating on social media, the Trustees take their responsibility to safeguard the Qurโ€™an and Islamic literature very seriously.

The Trustees and members of Jamiyat Tabligh-ul-Islam are actively working on the situation at Barkerend Road Mosque.
