Looking for an excuse to spend more time around books? 📚💛

We're looking for a Book Volunteer to help care for the growing collection of donated books at Age UK Bradford District. If you love books, enjoy organising, or simply want to give something back to your community, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Book Volunteer, you'll help:
📖 Sort donated books
📚 Organise our Hub library
🔍 Scan books for resale
♻️ Help turn unwanted books into valuable funds that support older people across Bradford District

⏰ Flexible commitment of around 4–6 hours per week, with days and times to suit you.

Whether you're a lifelong reader, retired librarian, book collector, or simply someone who can't resist browsing a bookshelf, this is a great opportunity to combine your passion with a purpose.

We're delighted to have expanded our Reminisce resources to our Queensbury Hub!

Our collection includes Life by Ian Beesley, along with a range of reminiscence materials designed to spark memories, encourage conversation and bring people together.

Whether you're interested in local history, sharing stories from years gone by, or simply enjoying a chat over a cuppa, we'd love to welcome you. No need to book, just pop into the hub and have a look!

🎨 New Weekly Creative Friendship Group

Looking for a relaxed way to meet new people and try something creative?

Our brand new Creative Bradford group is now running every Wednesday from 10am-12pm at our Wrose Hub.

Each week features a different creative activity including drawing, poetry, crafts, creative writing and smartphone photography.

No experience needed.
No booking required.

Just come along and enjoy a cuppa and good company.

Whether you've always enjoyed being creative or simply fancy trying something new, this relaxed and welcoming group is for you. Every week we'll explore a range of creative activities, including drawing, poetry, creative writing, and crafts.

There's no pressure, no experience needed and no need to attend every week. Just come along, enjoy a cuppa, meet new people and have a go.
