Fancy a friendly walk and some good company? New walking groups for over 65s are now open!

Age UK Bradford District has launched new Communities in Motion walking groups across the district – and we'd love to welcome you along.

Whether you're already a regular walker, getting back into activity, or simply fancy having a reason to get out and meet some new people, these free friendly walks are designed to be welcoming, accessible and social.

📍 Idle – Tuesdays, 11.00am–12.00pm
📍 Lister Park (Manningham) – Tuesdays, 1:30pm–2:30pm
📍 Cliffe Castle (Keighley) – Wednesdays, 11.00am–12.00pm
📍 Bingley – Fridays, 1:30pm–2:30pm

🤝 Could you turn community connections into real impact?

We're looking for a Community Fundraiser to join Age UK Bradford District. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves getting people involved and making things happen!

You'll help turn local connections and enthusiasm into fundraising activity – from community events and challenges to creative new ways for people to raise money and support older people across Bradford District.

You could be a great fit if your experience is in:

- Community engagement
- Partnerships & networking
- Events & activities
- Business development or customer engagement
- Fundraising
- Volunteer coordination

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative, organised and confident getting people involved. If you're someone who sees an opportunity and thinks "I can make that happen", this could be the role for you.

14 hours per week | Hybrid working | Bradford District

We're looking for a Book Volunteer to help care for the growing collection of donated books at Age UK Bradford District. If you love books, enjoy organising, or simply want to give something back to your community, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Book Volunteer, you'll help:
📖 Sort donated books
📚 Organise our Hub library
🔍 Scan books for resale
♻️ Help turn unwanted books into valuable funds that support older people across Bradford District

⏰ Flexible commitment of around 4–6 hours per week, with days and times to suit you.

Whether you're a lifelong reader, retired librarian, book collector, or simply someone who can't resist browsing a bookshelf, this is a great opportunity to combine your passion with a purpose.

🎨 New Weekly Creative Friendship Group

Looking for a relaxed way to meet new people and try something creative?

Our brand new Creative Bradford group is now running every Wednesday from 10am-12pm at our Wrose Hub.

Each week features a different creative activity including drawing, poetry, crafts, creative writing and smartphone photography.

No experience needed.
