Welcome to the page of Calder Rescue, we're here to keep your event safe, and share some of our experiences! Feel free to share your views and opinions, but be aware that we will delete or remove anything that may offend. Calder Rescue is funded by our attendance at events, but also by gifts of cash and of equipment made to us by generous individuals and organisations. Any donations to ke

ep us able to attend events are always welcome. Our crew members come from a mix of trades and backgrounds, some work front line for the NHS and some are keyworkers within the community. The crew are highly trained in all aspects of Pre-Hospital Trauma Care and extrication techniques. As a crew we train together regularly running through a range of scenarios and incidents. We have all the equipment required of a Motorsport UK licensed Rescue Unit as well as a number of pieces of equipment that are above and beyond these requirements, we always try to be ahead of the game and strive to push the service we provide forward. All of our equipment is transported in our Ex-North West Ambulance Service Mercedes Sprinter with a UV Modular Ambulance body. This is our 7th vehicle since we began operating in 1990. The Calder Team are safely back home from the first running of Yorkshire Dales Rally today. The challenging weather conditions made our role very tricky at times during the day.

We were very surprised, but proud, to pick up the Spirit of the Rally award from the event. Thank you to the organisers, officials, marshals, sponsors and everyone out there on the stages.

Testing, Testing.... Hello again! Back online after the first couple of events this year, busy with Gale Rigg startline and timing and then a standby unit for the East Riding Stages rally out of Beverley.
Hopefully we should be back up and updating with nice pictures again from the next event onwards.

Till then, don't forget to switch off your TV before going to bed
