We're delighted to announce the launch of Sensory Oasis, a calm, welcoming and inclusive space designed for Black autistic and neurodivergent children and their families. 💛

We know that every child experiences the world differently. Some need quiet, some love sensory exploration, and others simply need the freedom to engage in their own way, at their own pace.

And that's exactly what Sensory Oasis is all about! 🌟

🎨✨ BLACK HISTORY MONTH AT ACAP – LET'S GET CREATIVE! ✊🏾🖤

Looking for something different to do this Saturday? We've got something special lined up!

As part of our Black History Month celebrations, ACAP is hosting a special edition of PAINT ’N’ SIP, led by the talented artist Soraya Grayston! 🎨💛

This isn't just about painting. It's an opportunity to explore Black identity, culture and wellbeing through creativity, self-expression and connection.

Whether you're a budding Picasso or haven't picked up a paintbrush since school, come along, relax and enjoy the experience!

🚀🎉 TODAY'S THE DAY – TRAILBLAZER IS HERE!

Are you ready to take the next step towards employment, training or a brighter future? 🌟

ACAP's Trailblazer Programme officially starts TODAY, and we're excited to welcome participants on this new journey!

We know that finding work isn't always straightforward. Sometimes it's about rebuilding confidence, developing new skills, overcoming personal challenges or simply having someone in your corner who believes in your potential. 💛

That's where Trailblazer comes in!

Every participant receives 12 weeks of focused, personalised support, including:

✅ CV writing, job searches and applications
✅ Interview preparation and employability skills
✅ Confidence building and personal development
✅ Digital skills and training opportunities
✅ Volunteering and pathways into employment
✅ Wellbeing support to help overcome barriers

💡 This isn't a one-size-fits-all programme. We work with you, at your pace, to help you achieve your goals.

👏🏾 Anti-Racism Learning in the Heart of Our Community

ACAP is looking forward to welcoming Bradford Citizens Advice back to our community centre this week for Cohorts 2 and 3 of our EDI and Anti-Racism Training on 7th and 8th October.

There’s something particularly positive about organisations taking their learning out of the office and into the communities they serve. 💛

And if Cohort 1 is anything to go by, we’re in for two excellent days!

A huge hats off to Cohort 1 👏🏾 you came with knowledge, curiosity and a genuine willingness to engage. We had some meaningful conversations and worked through practical exercises designed to challenge assumptions, extend thinking and explore what anti-racist and culturally competent practice looks like in everyday situations.

We’re delighted to see Bradford Citizens Advice investing in its staff and demonstrating a commitment to strengthening anti-racist practice and cultural competence.

Now it’s over to Cohorts 2 and 3. We look forward to welcoming you to ACAP! 🙌🏾
