Ways of Looking

Ways of Looking The UK’s newest photography festival, Ways of Looking ran in Bradford from 1 to 30 October 2011. Follow us for future updates on Ways of Looking.

Inspired by the theme EVIDENCE, the festival addressed, overturned, and playfully interacted with photography’s assumed status as ‘evidence’ in a range of arenas including history, politics, science, law, and conflict. The festival included premières of newly commissioned works by internationally renowned Magnum photographer Donovan Wylie, and Turner Prize winning artists Jeremy Deller and Douglas

Gordon, amongst others. An accompanying events programme offered talks by photographers, debates, portfolio reviews, film screenings, and much more.
