Tomorrow is World Refugee Day
Everyone deserves a place to call home, especially those forced to flee conflict, persecution, and crisis.

In housing, we don’t just build homes; we build safety, dignity, and new beginnings.
At Manningham Housing Association, we stand in solidarity with refugees and reaffirm our commitment to inclusive, compassionate housing solutions that help rebuild lives.
Let’s break down barriers. Let’s welcome them with open doors. Let’s ensure that home is a right, not a privilege.

Volunteers’ Week took place from 1–7 June 2026, and we recently had the opportunity to thank our wonderful volunteers properly.

Their time, kindness and commitment make a real difference to our communities, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do. We were delighted to present them with a small token of appreciation and celebrate their amazing contribution.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers — your support is truly valued!

Yesterday, our staff forum organised a lovely wellbeing walk at Ogden Water Country Park in Halifax. It was a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, spend time together and recharge away from our desks.
After completing the trail, we finished the day with a well-earned meal together to replenish our energy! A big thank you to the Staff Forum for organising such an enjoyable day and to everyone who joined us.

Yesterday, on the 9th anniversary of the Grenfell Tower tragedy, we remember the 72 people who lost their lives, and we hold in our thoughts their families, friends, survivors and the wider Grenfell community.

We also recognise the lasting impact on emergency services workers and all those who responded that night, many of whom continue to carry the trauma and long-term consequences of the tragedy.

Grenfell changed social housing. It remains a powerful reminder of our responsibility to listen to residents, put safety first, and ensure that every person has a safe place to call home.

We remember. We reflect. We must continue to learn.

Our tenants, our voice, our future.

Yesterday evening’s Customer Panel was a fantastic success, with a brilliant turnout, great engagement and lots of positive energy in the room.

One of the most powerful moments of the evening came from our tenants themselves, who asked for the group to be renamed from Customer Panel to Tenant Forum — a name that better reflects their voice, involvement and role in shaping our services.

It was truly heart-warming to see so many tenants keen to help, volunteer, share ideas and work with us to make a difference in their communities.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed so openly.

We would love more tenants to join the conversation. Your views matter, and together we can continue improving services and strengthening our communities.

To get involved, please contact Sayful Alam on 07483 396821.

Community, connection and shared understanding. 💛

Yesterday, residents from Manningham Housing Association’s Anchor Court Tenants Association and Leeds Jewish Housing Association came together for a wonderful community gathering focused on dialogue, friendship and cultural exchange.

The event brought together people from different faith and community backgrounds, including Jewish, Christian and Muslim residents, creating a warm space to learn from one another, share experiences and enjoy a lovely meal together.

The gathering began with a baptism prayer, as the event was held at a Baptist church, and continued with meaningful conversations, laughter and a real sense of togetherness.

A heartfelt thank you to Leeds Jewish Housing Association, our Anchor Court tenants, and everyone who took part and helped make the day so special.

This is what true community spirit looks like: building bridges, celebrating diversity and creating lasting friendships.

Together, we can make a real difference.
