🌲🥾 Get Active with Us | Last Two Summer Challenges

This weekend, a group of outdoor adventurers will take on Ben Nevis in the Scottish Highlands. Among them will be 61-year-old Sultan Asti from Manchester, who is completing several challenges to support IKCA this year.

Then in September, we return to the Great Wall of China, with extra time for sightseeing, including a visit to the Terracotta Army.

In Loving Memory | Summer BBQ in High Wycombe 🍔🌭

Thank you to everyone at P.A.C.E. (Parveen's Annual Cancer Event) for another wonderful community fundraiser at Wrights Meadow Hall in High Wycombe.

Their summer BBQ raised £2,000, which will be shared equally between Imran Khan Cancer Appeal and Scannappeal.

P.A.C.E was founded in 2002 by Parveen Sheikh 💛 while she was undergoing cancer treatment. It was her way of giving back to the community, both here in the UK and in Pakistan.

Parveen passed away in 2009, but her family and friends have continued her beautiful legacy ever since.

We are very grateful to the P.A.C.E committee and everyone who came along for remembering us in their giving.

🥤☀️ Thank You Irtiza, Ameera & Hayat 🏏

“Excuse me, would you like a cold drink?”

Yes please! A huge thank you to Irtiza, Ameera and Hayat from East London, who set up their own drinks stall and raised an impressive £70 to support our work.

Their fundraising was part of a charity cricket match between Ittifaq Cricket Club and Upton Park Tigers CC on Saturday 15 August.

The event raised £250 in total, with the children making a brilliant contribution through their own little enterprise.

Ittifaq CC was founded by Muttee Mirza to bring people together through sport while raising awareness and funds for Imran Khan Cancer Appeal.

✨ Jummah Mubarak | Karachi Opening Date Confirmed ✨

After years of planning, rallying supporters and overcoming setbacks, the opening ceremony for Shaukat Khanum Karachi will take place on 29 December 2026.

It’s been a long journey. Thank you for keeping the project moving.

We want you to be part of the official celebration, so we’ve secured a number of seats for those who have made a contribution towards the hospital build – however large or small.

Places will be allocated through a draw, with details on how to enter shared over the coming months.

In the meantime, there's still time to become a Founding Member. Donate £4,000 or more towards the hospital by 5 December 2026 to be included on the permanent Founding Member Wall.

Around 90% of the Sun will be covered across the UK this evening. The last total visible from the UK was in 1999, and the next will be in 2090. So, if you’re here to witness it, why not make time for prayer and reflection?

🌲🥾 Get Active Your Way | Thank You, Sultan Asti

At 61, Sultan Asti is taking on three challenges to support our work over the coming months:

✅ 22 August – Ben Nevis, Scottish Highlands
✅ 5 September – Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall, Wales
✅ 4 October – ASICS Manchester Half Marathon

Sultan’s outdoor adventures started during Covid-19, when he cancelled his gym membership and began walking and running in his local parks in Manchester.

From 5K runs, he has gone on to complete 10Ks, half marathons, marathons, trail races, ultra marathons and mountain challenges, while raising awareness and funds for causes he believes in.

He has supported Imran Khan Cancer Appeal for the past three years, and we are delighted that he will be joining us for our Ben Nevis Challenge on 22 August.

Sultan is also a fashion designer and runs Pakistani designer boutique Imani Studio in Manchester.
