Just a reminder that Monday 20th October will be the last outreach for Monday munch.
We are planning a Halloween/bonfire themed menu of pie and peas, chilli, burgers or hot dogs, curry and pasta. Followed by ginger cake and custard.
It will be a very emotional night for us as we have been providing this service for the last 8 years but we are hoping to re-start again in spring 2026 so watch this space.
Once again thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years xx

Sorry we haven’t posted for a while but the service has been continuing every Monday

Unfortunately due to serious health issues and as we no longer have access to an inside venue, we have had to make the heartbreaking decision to close Monday munch with effect from Monday 20th October 2025
We are devastated at having to do this especially during the winter months as this is when the service is most needed but we are hoping to be able to re open once the clocks go forward at the end of march 2026

Ian and I would like to thank the volunteers past and present and all those that have donated over the last 8 years without whose commitment and help none of this would have been possible
We have met lots of interesting people over the years and have lost a few (may they rest in peace). We hope that we have made a difference to their lives in some small way when they’ve needed it most

Thank you for reading this and hope you will follow us if we are able to return. We will post on this page if and when we have a return date 🥰

A first post in awhile due to a few health issues but rest assured the outreach has continued thanks to the wonderful volunteers.
It was a very busy night last night serving around 60 service users a menu of sausage casserole, vegetable pasta, Mac and cheese with bacon, roast potatoes and curry and chapattis followed by cake and custard all washed down with the usual hot beverages.
We also handed out clothes, blankets and packets of vegetable rice, the rice being kindly donated by Tesco great Horton rd, blankets by dharmesh mistry and Janette Bullock for her continued donations over the last few weeks.
Unfortunately due to lack of volunteers due to holidays etc we won’t be able to do a feed on the 30th of this month but will be back straight after

Unfortunately due to some health issues I have not been able to post for a while but thanks to the fantastic volunteers the outreach has still been running and will continue to run weekly. I will not be able to be present at the feed for the next few months so might not be many posts.
It was a very busy but calm night last night we served around 60/70 service users a hearty menu as you can see from the pictures whilst also handing out clothes and toiletries but we are running out of funds so if anyone would like to donate to help keep this service running we would be very grateful our bank account details are Monday Munch HomelessSupport account number 22244385 sort code 04-06-05 thank you
Finally a big shout out to Angela, Colin, Hilary, Collette, Sarah, Jade, Jacquie, felicity, Maxine and Rani for all their hard work and commitment to keep Monday Munch runnings.
