Clothing Solutions is a registered charity (No. 1120118) dedicated to understanding and meeting the unique clothing needs of disabled people. Whether it's issues around shape, size, comfort, mobility, fastenings or fabric care - we're here to help.

Sometimes, a small change to a garment can make a huge difference. 🧵🪡😁

This adaptive hoodie has been designed with zips running along the underseams of the sleeves, allowing the garment to open much further without the wearer needing to stand or move their arms excessively.

For someone who uses a wheelchair, getting dressed can involve awkward movements, transfers and assistance. Adaptive clothing can help make that process simpler, more comfortable and more dignified.

Most of us never have to think twice about buying a pair of trousers.

But for many wheelchair users, finding trousers that are comfortable, practical and easy to manage can be a real challenge. Issues such as fabric catching in wheels, discomfort when seated, or difficulty dressing independently can turn an everyday task into a source of frustration.

At Clothing Solutions, we create bespoke clothing designed around the individual, helping disabled people wear clothes that support their comfort, confidence and independence.

☀️ Summer shorts, sorted! ☀️

Our young customer is a huge adidas fan (as are we 😎), but like so many wheelchair users, he found that standard shorts just didn't work well when it came to toileting and dressing independently.

The solution? A simple adaptation with a big impact 💙

We added four buttons from the elasticated waistband down the front to create an easy access fly. Not only does this make toileting much easier, but it also allows the shorts to open wider, making dressing more comfortable and giving extra room for movement.

Sometimes the smallest changes make the biggest difference. Now these favourite adidas shorts are ready for a summer full of freedom, comfort and fun 🌞🛞💨

At Clothing Solutions for Disabled People, we create bespoke adaptive clothing for children and adults who deserve comfort, dignity and confidence in what they wear. Clothing should never feel like a struggle, a compromise, or something that excludes people. It should support independence, reflect personality, and make everyday life that little bit easier ✨

From carefully adapted school wear to specialist garments designed around individual needs, every piece is made with real people in mind. Accessible fashion means someone being able to dress themselves with confidence. It means feeling included, seen, and valued.

💜 Behind the Garment: Ellie’s Story

Ellie lives with sialorrhoea, which causes excessive drooling throughout the day. For her parents, finding suitable clothing to keep her dry was an ongoing struggle.

Shop bought bibs are typically designed for babies. They are small, often brightly coloured, and not appropriate for older children. They did not offer the coverage Ellie needed to stay dry at school or during daily activities. The alternative, a waterproof coat, was noisy, uncomfortable, and not something her parents wanted her to wear all day.

At Clothing Solutions, we believe no child should have to compromise comfort or dignity.

We made Ellie bespoke bibs designed specifically for her:
• Small shaped shoulders for a better fit
• A long front to protect her whole torso
• Triple layered fabric with a waterproof layer inside
• Secure ties or poppers at the back

These thoughtful details mean Ellie can stay dry throughout meals, school, and everyday life.

We believe adaptive clothing should be designed with disabled people in mind — not adapted as an afterthought.

This fully bespoke bodysuit is made for disabled children and adults who need comfort, flexibility, and ease in everyday dressing. Alongside traditional lower poppers for toileting, it features poppers all the way down the front, allowing the garment to be fitted around the body instead of pulled over the head. 👚🧵

Each piece is made to measure and available in a wide choice of fabrics and fasteners (including cotton jersey, 100% cotton, and denim blends) so it works for real bodies, real needs, and real lives.

It can be worn under clothes, as sleepwear, or as a practical all-in-one garment.

Because no two bodies are the same, and clothing should reflect that. 🪡💜
