The Morrisons Foundation is the corporate charity of Morrisons Supermarkets.

Every year we donate over £2m to charities across the country through grants and Morrisons colleague match funding.

We’re pleased to announce a £10,000 grant to the brilliant team at Little Lady Locks in Oldham! 🎉

With this funding, they've been able to completely transform a playroom into "ElizaLand" – a magical haven kitted out with specialist equipment and accessories for children facing terminal illness. It provides a comforting spot for families to make joyful memories together, far away from clinical hospital environments.

Cromwell High School is a specialist school in Dukinfield providing education and support for children with severe and complex learning difficulties. We recently donated £9000 to install a brand-new outdoor gym to help the sudents stay active, burn off some energy, and find a bit of calm through sensory regulation whenever they need it.

Alison, our lovely Community Champion from the Dukinfield store popped down with Jonathan Reynolds MP to see the new gear in action and celebrate alongside Headteacher Suzanne.

From what we hear, the new equipment is already going down an absolute storm with the pupils! A massive well done to Team Cromwell for the incredible work you do every single day. We're incredibly proud to support you!

Big news from Dover! 🎉 We were delighted to help our friends at Emmaus Dover with a £3,519 donation.

Our Community Champion, Tracy Turner, dropped by to see the incredible work they do supporting those experiencing homelessness.

Our grant funded a brand-new washing machine for Emmaus' laundry service. By having a smaller, more economical machine on-site, the team can speed up turnaround times and help more people who rely on their support.

We're so pleased to share we’ve awarded a £6,340 grant to CHT down in Eastbourne!

The wonderful team at CHT provides round-the-clock residential care, therapeutic support, and skills training for adults managing severe and complex mental health conditions.

Our funding is going straight towards a brand-new, ground-floor accessible wetroom at Mount Lodge, their Eastbourne recovery community. This will create a safe, step-free space for residents with limited mobility - making personal hygiene much easier, boosting their independence, and protecting their dignity. 🧼✨

We’re chuffed to share that we’ve awarded a £2,000 grant to the awesome Droylsden Youth Centre

For over 65 years, this brilliant Manchester charity has been keeping local kids aged 4–16 active with everything from football and boxing to sports, plus their fantastic 'grow your own' allotment gardening to promote healthy eating.

Now, thanks to this £2,000 boost, they’re creating a special new community memorial garden. It’s going to be a wonderful green space for local schools, people with learning disabilities, and the wider community to enjoy together.

Janet Hardware, Community Champion from our Morrisons store in Openshaw, popped down to hand over the big cheque and check out their plans.

A massive round of applause to the team at Droylsden Youth Centre for everything they do to support young people in the area. We can't wait to see the new garden in full bloom! 🌸👏

He took on an incredidible challenge in aid of Big C Cancer Charity running 100-miles from Bamburgh Castle to Edinburgh Castle!

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce a £5,000 grant for the brilliant Community and Voluntary Action Blyth Valley - CVABV to renovate their Community Hub,🎉💚

They provide a warm, welcoming space for residents to meet and access vital support services. From hosting veteran support groups and the Menopause Café to running drop-in health and carer sessions.

Helen Gray, Office Manager said: "Our Hub plays a vital role at the heart of the Blyth, bringing people together, supporting local groups, and strengthening the wellbeing and resilience of the whole community.

“Through dedication and collaboration, it helps create opportunities, reduce isolation, and ensures that everyone has access to the support and services they need to thrive.”

💚💰Match Funding Monday💰💚
A massive shoutout to our incredible colleague George , who is put her self-proclaimed "little legs" to the ultimate test!

She took on the the gruelling Endure24 challenge - running 50 miles over a 24 hour period. All in support of a brilliant charity: Andys Man Club . They do incredible work to destroy the stigma around mental health and save lives by spreading the vital message that .

George has raised a fantastic £597, and we are absolutely thrilled to match it.

Not only that! She's taking on the Great North Run in September to raise even more. Go George! We're cheering you, and your "little legs" on all the way. 🏅🏃‍♀️

⚽️ Just in time for England's historic semi-final clash, the Morrisons Foundation, Kick It Out and Gift of Kit have joined forces to help more girls play, participate and thrive in grassroots football across West Yorkshire.

Our ‘More than a kit. Football United’ project will provide 30 girls' teams with free football kits, as well as access to educational programmes and opportunities to engage with the wider game during the season.
