Congratulations to Jackie from Morrisons in Catcliffe, and her daughter Lauren who completed 10,000 steps a day in April, raising £430 for St Lukes Hospice - which of course we're delighted to match!

Jackie said "Its a place close to our hearts we just want to give something back to the most amazing people that work here for their care and helpfulness towards patients and the families"

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ PRIDE MONTH GRANT DROP! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
The celebrate Pride Month here’s a quick-fire rundown of three Morrisons Foundation grants to charities supporting the LGBTQ+ community this year:

🎒 £9,800 to Diversity Role Models – Delivering vital anti-bullying workshops to over 400 pupils across St Helens and Liverpool.
🛠️ £1,750 to Swindon & Wiltshire Pride – Sprucing up their brilliant community space with brand-new, fully accessible facilities.
🏡 £9,000 to the brand-new Birmingham LGBT – A cash boost to help get a fantastic new safe space and support hub off the ground!

That’s over £20,000 going straight into making our communities kinder, safer, and more inclusive. 🌈

Huge well done to Donna from Morrsisons in Herne Bay for completing a 50 mile cycle to raise money for Pilgrims Hospices in memory of her Husband Steve.

She raised over £3000 including our match funding.

Congratulation to the team of colleagues and friends who took on the famous Yorkshire Three Pealks challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Completing 24 miles in one day, taking on the three peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent, they raised over £5000.

💚💰Match Funding Monday💰💚
We are so proud to celebrate Col from Morrisons Head Office who has taken on an epic 3-week, solo and unsupported mountain bike challenge around the Annapurna trail in Nepal!

Over the course of 275 miles, Col has been battling altitudes up to 5,416m, temperatures as low as -20º, and even carrying his 30kg bike and gear up a technical 40% climb in the dark to summit the Thorong La Pass! 🥶🚲

Col has currently raised an amazing £2,380 for Calder Valley Search & Rescue Team, with another £1000 added by the Morrison Foundation.

We are absolutely delighted to award a £10,000 grant to The Sibling Group , an incredible local charity in Harrogate that provides vital support and activities for children who have a disabled brother or sister. 💚

Thanks to this funding, the charity will be able to fully renovate an empty building to create a brand-new day centre called 'Oscar's Pathway'. Set to open in July 2026, this fantastic facility will be a haven for young people and adults with complex needs. It will feature a new sensory room, activity and lunch rooms, a kitchen, and a sensory garden where service users can enjoy everything from arts and crafts to cooking and yoga! 🎨🪴🧘‍♀️

The money will allow The Sibling Group to fully renovate their day centre.

Beau and Catherine Pollard took on the Bath Half Marathon in aid of The UK Sepsis Trust. They ran in loving memory of their friend Kaye, who sadly passed away suddenly from sepsis in November 2022.

With our match funding they raiesed an incredible £2232!

🎉 We are absolutely thrilled to share we;ve awarded a grant to the amazing Mersey Weaver Scouts to fund a brand-new, fully equipped kitchen! 🏕️🍳

This new kitchen will be a hub where young Scouts can learn essential life skills, build teamwork and reslience as well as supporting other local community groups that use the centre.

Thank you to the Lynn, the Community Champion at Morrisons in Frodsham for handing over the cheque!
