𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗨𝗔𝗟 𝗚𝗜𝗬𝗔𝗥𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗙 𝗚𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 | 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗧 𝗔𝗟 𝗭𝗔𝗛𝗥𝗔

On Friday 25th September 2026, Madinat Al Zahra held its 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗿𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳 𝗚𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, attended by brothers and sisters for an evening of Qur’anic recitation, Na’at, Dhikr and remembrance of 𝗛𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗵𝗮𝘂𝘀-𝘂𝗹-𝗔𝘇𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝗮𝘆𝘆𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗻𝗮 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗸𝗵 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹 𝗤𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗹-𝗝𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗶 (رحمة الله عليه).

The programme was hosted by 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗔𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗱, with beautiful recitation of the Holy Qur’an by 𝗛𝗮𝗳𝗶𝘇 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗷𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗾, followed by Na’ats presented by 𝗔𝘁𝗶𝗳 𝗥𝗶𝗮𝘇, 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗿 and 𝗜𝗷𝗮𝘇 𝗤𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗶.

The keynote address was delivered by 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗸𝗵 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗔𝗳𝘇𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶, who spoke about the spiritual journey of the 𝗻𝗮𝗳𝘀 and the stations through which a believer progresses towards closeness to Allah Almighty.

Beginning with the Qur’anic words:
يَا أَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ
Shaykh Afzal Saeedi explained the journey from 𝗡𝗮𝗳𝘀-𝗲-𝗔𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵, through 𝗡𝗮𝗳𝘀-𝗲-𝗟𝗮𝘄𝘄𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗵 and 𝗡𝗮𝗳𝘀-𝗲-𝗠𝘂𝗹𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗵, towards 𝗡𝗮𝗳𝘀-𝗲-𝗠𝘂𝘁𝗺𝗮’𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗵 — the station at which the servant becomes content with Allah Almighty and receives His pleasure and special blessings.

He explained the two spiritual streams of 𝗠𝘂𝗷𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗶𝘆𝘆𝗮𝘁 and 𝗤𝘂𝘁𝗯𝗶𝘆𝘆𝗮𝘁: the revival and preservation of Deen on the one hand, and the spiritual reformation and revival of hearts on the other.

The address then focused upon the extraordinary spiritual rank of 𝗛𝘂𝘇𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗵𝗮𝘂𝘀-𝘂𝗹-𝗔𝘇𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗸𝗵 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹 𝗤𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗹-𝗝𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗶 (رحمة الله عليه), describing him as 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗺𝗮-𝘂𝗹-𝗕𝗮𝗵𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 — one in whom these two great streams came together. His life combined immense scholarship, revival of the Deen, spiritual training and transformation of hearts, reaching the heights of both 𝗠𝘂𝗷𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗶𝘆𝘆𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝘁𝗯𝗶𝘆𝘆𝗮𝘁.

Shaykh Afzal Saeedi also narrated accounts from the blessed life of Ghaus-ul-Azam (رحمة الله عليه), including his journey from Jilan to Baghdad, the beginning of his public preaching and his fearlessness in speaking against injustice. A powerful account was shared in which he admonished the ruler over wealth taken from the people, demonstrating that true spiritual leadership is accompanied by 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗵.

The gathering was reminded of the importance of remaining connected to the spiritual and scholarly tradition of the Awliya Allah and striving to purify our hearts through 𝗗𝗵𝗶𝗸𝗿, 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 ﷺ.

The programme concluded with 𝗗𝗵𝗶𝗸𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝘂𝗮, bringing a blessed evening of remembrance and spiritual reflection to a close.

On 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟭𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, Madinat al Zahra hosted a special Mehfil-e-Milad-e-Mustafa ﷺ, attended by hundreds of brothers and sisters under the guidance of 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗸𝗵 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗔𝗳𝘇𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶 (Director, Madinat al Zahra) and hosted by 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗔𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗱.

Renowned guest Na’at Khwans 𝗤𝗮𝗿𝗶 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗺𝗼𝗼𝗱 and 𝗔𝗳𝘇𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗵𝗶 captivated the gathering with their soul-stirring recitations, alongside local Na’at Khwans who also participated in the blessed gathering.

𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗸𝗵 𝗔𝗯𝘂 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗺 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗔𝗹-𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗶 delivered the keynote address in English on the beautiful subject of 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗰𝘆.

The blessed gathering concluded with a special 𝗗𝘂𝗮 by Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi.
