We at OnTrak have made a decision that at any more Free Bike Giveaways in future;
1. The ticket system WILL be used…1 Ticket=1 Child up to 16 years
2. The child receiving the bike MUST be present.
3. You will NOT take any bike for any child who is at home still in bed !
4. Parent/Carer MUST be present. Any child/Young person without a responsible adult on the day will be asked to leave.
5. If we think the bike is far too big for your child, you will NOT be able to take it, so you will have to choose the appropriate size for your child.
6. Once the appropriately sized bike has been chosen for your child…we ask that you leave the compound in order that we can let others in.
7. If your child chooses a bike and they realise they don’t want that one, please ask them to put it back nicely….NOT drop it back on the ground, as this will damage the bike.
8. For the safety of others. We ask that your child does NOT ride the bike around in the compound.
9. You will NOT stand and save any bike(s) for others who are in the queue.
10. Any broken bikes we discover cannot be fixed on site will be put back in our van.
11. We at OnTrak….. staff and students put a lot of hard work into organising our Free Bike Giveaway events, which takes up to 8 weeks to organise. Yes 8 weeks!!!!
12. Again….To stress we do not have to do this ! All our staff and students attend these events voluntarily.
13. OnTrak receives NO FUNDING from anywhere. (not through the lack of trying)
14. We find that we have to put more rules in force almost every time we do these events, due to a minority of people abusing our Good nature- taking more bikes than they need.
15. Please do not spoil what we do and ask that you remain polite and courteous at our events.
16. If you happen to miss any of our Free Giveaways.;
We have a Bike shop at OnTrak where all our bikes are VERY reasonably priced,
But please do not expect to receive a Free one after the event. !!
