🌞 THAT’S A WRAP! – MMCIC HAF SUMMER 2026 🌞

And just like that… our Summer HAF 2026 programme has officially come to an end! 🎉🙌

What a summer it has been! From parks and outdoor adventures to sports, football, rounders, multi-sports, camps, museums, cinema trips and so much more — we’ve packed the holidays with fun, friendship, learning, confidence-building and unforgettable memories. ❤️

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this summer such a success:

Our HAF provision will return during the October Half Term and again in December, with more exciting activities, trips, opportunities and adventures planned.

The Confession Project was proud to support the HYA Bradford Unity in the Community event today, helping to engage young people and families in honest conversations about the challenges affecting our communities.

Throughout the day, we delivered interactive educational workshops covering the dangers of va**ng, nitrous oxide, anti-social behaviour, violent crime, and the consequences of criminal activity. Parents and young people had the opportunity to ask questions, share their thoughts, and take part in open discussions in a safe and welcoming environment.

Participants also experienced an insight into prison life, learning about the realities of the criminal justice system, the impact poor decisions can have on future opportunities, and why making positive choices matters. To finish, everyone took part in a fun team-building activity, reinforcing the importance of communication, trust, and working together.

A huge thank you to HYA Bradford for inviting us to be part of such a fantastic community event. It was inspiring to see so many families coming together, engaging with local organisations, and investing in a safer, stronger future for our young people.

🕷️🎬 HAF Summer 2026 Movie Trip 🎬🕷️

It’s movie time! 🍿

Our HAF children are heading to Cineworld to watch Spider-Man on Thursday 30th July.

📅 Date: Thursday 30th July
🕧 Film Starts: 12:30 pm
📍 Venue: Cineworld

🚗 Transport Arrangements

Parents with cars:
Please drop your child off at the FUNZY entrance by 12:00 pm.

Children requiring transport:
Please ensure your child arrives at Mary Magdalene Church by 11:30 am. Transport will be provided.

📍 Collection:
Please collect your child from the FUNZY/Cineworld entrance at 3:10 pm.

🥤 Food & Drinks

Please ensure your child brings:

* A refillable bottle of water
* A small snack for before or after the film

Children are welcome to bring popcorn, sweets or drinks at the cinema. This is entirely optional. Movie is 2:30 mins .

Please ensure your child arrives on time, is dressed comfortably, and is ready for another fantastic day of fun, laughter and making unforgettable summer memories with MMCIC HAF Summer 2026.

⚽🔥 HEATON ATHLETIC JFC x MARY MAGDALENE CHURCH FOOTBALL CAMP 🔥⚽

We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Heaton Athletic JFC to deliver another fantastic Football Camp this Wednesday 29th July!

This action-packed session is open to boys and girls aged 7–13 years, with professional coaching, fun games, ball mastery, penalty shootouts, small-sided matches and much more.

💥 FREE for all young people registered on the MMCIC HAF Programme.

🌞 Week One Complete – MMCIC Summer HAF 2026! 🌞

What an amazing start to our MMCIC Summer HAF 2026 Programme! 🎉

This week, our children and young people have enjoyed a fantastic range of outdoor adventures and activities, including visits to:

🌳 St Michael’s Park
🌿 Grosvenor Park
🌼 Lister Park
🌳 Roberts Park

Along the way, everyone took part in lots of fun games, team challenges, sports, outdoor play, and activities that encouraged friendship, confidence, teamwork, and plenty of smiles!

A huge thank you to all our children, parents, carers, volunteers, and staff for making Week One such a success.

This is only the beginning! We have even more exciting adventures planned over the coming weeks, including camps, sports, hiking, Bikeability, cinema trips, a theme park visit, and much more.

🥊 BOXING IS BACK AT MARY MAGDALENE CIC! 🥊

Looking to get fitter, healthier and stronger? Whether you’re a complete beginner or already have experience, our weekly boxing sessions are the perfect way to improve your fitness, confidence and overall wellbeing in a fun, supportive environment.

Our sessions are led by Coach Zeeshan and focus on much more than boxing. You’ll develop discipline, resilience, respect, teamwork and self-confidence while learning new skills and meeting new people.
