What a busy and exciting week we’ve had!
This week, the children have been learning about community helpers and discussing the important jobs people do to help us every day. Through role play, the children enjoyed pretending to be police officers, doctors, and hairdressers, helping to develop their communication skills, imagination, and understanding of the world around them.
We have also been exploring the famous artwork Mona Lisa. The children have nearly finished their own portraits inspired by the painting, learning about facial features, self-expression, and different forms of art.
Our topic for June is the Amazon Rainforest, where we have begun discovering some of the amazing animals, plants, and habitats found in this unique environment. This helps children develop curiosity about nature and the wider world.
We have enjoyed sharing the story of Elmer, which has encouraged conversations about celebrating our differences, kindness, and friendship. Next week, the children will be creating their own colourful elephants using recycled milk bottles, supporting creativity while introducing the importance of reusing materials.
It has been a week full of fun, play, creativity, and learning. Through these activities, the children have continued to build their confidence, imagination, knowledge, and social skills while enjoying new experiences together. We are so proud of all their hard work and enthusiasm! 🐘🎨🌿👮♀️👩⚕️✂️
