Foster for Bradford

Foster for Bradford Foster for Bradford is the largest fostering agency in the Bradford district. It literally changes lives. Foster carers can be single, co-habiting or married.

Fostering is a really rewarding role which makes a massive difference to vulnerable children & young people. Foster carers can be straight, LGBTQ+, religious, of no religion, own their own home or rent. They can own pets as well as work outside of fostering. Foster carers come from all walks of life and have a wide range of backgrounds, so don't count yourself out without talking to us first. Fost

er carers are ordinary people, just like you, doing something amazing. Foster for Bradford is Bradford Children & Families Trust’s (BCFT) fostering service. BCFT was set up in 2023 to run children’s services for Bradford Metropolitan District Council. The Trust is owned by, but is independent from, the Council.

Families come in many forms — and that’s something to celebrate 🌟
Sexuality and gender-identity do not define what a family looks like or how a home feels.
Le***an foster carers bring skills, compassion and lived experience that enrich children’s lives. Seeing diverse, real families helps children grow up with a broader understanding of the world around them.
At Foster for Bradford, we believe that inclusive fostering creates better outcomes for children 💛
💬Our foster carers from the LGBTQ+ community also get free membership with New Family Social, a national LGBTQ+ fostering and adoption peer support network, in their support package.

Pride Month is a time to celebrate love, diversity and family in all its forms 💖

At Foster for Bradford, we know that foster carers come from all walks of life — including LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. What matters most isn’t who you love, but your ability to provide love, stability and support to a child who needs it.

We’re proud to celebrate the carers already making a difference in our community and to continue challenging outdated ideas about who can foster.

Every child deserves to grow up feeling safe, valued and accepted — and diverse families help make that happen 🌈

Thinking about Fostering?

At Foster for Bradford, we believe that becoming a foster carer is all about the best way fostering can fit with your lifestyle under many circumstances. Whether you're a single carer, same s*x couple, not having children of your own or not owning your home - you can foster if you have a spare bedroom.

💛 You can make sure children feel safe and secure
💛 You can provide a stable home

If you've ever considered fostering, now is the time. Your home could be the place where children are supported and safe.

An evening dedicated to the incredible foster care community ✨

Last night, we came together to celebrate the compassion, resilience, and unwavering dedication of our foster care community.

From heartfelt conversations to shared laughter and meaningful moments, the evening was a reminder of the extraordinary impact foster carers make every single day. 💛

To every foster carer and their fostering family — thank you for opening your hearts, creating safe spaces, and changing lives in ways words can never fully capture.

With special thanks to for hosting the venue for our foster care fortnight celebration evening and pop up stall this fortnight. Thank you to the talented George Martin for the fantastic live music, we all really enjoyed the evening. Finally, a special thanks to BookTrust for providing books to our young people, supporting family connections through reading.

With foster care fortnight drawing to a close today, we want to take a moment to pause, reflect, connect, and celebrate the difference you make.

Here’s to community, kindness, and the people who continue to show up with care and compassion every day. 💛
