Equity Partnership LGBT

Equity Partnership LGBT The Equity Partnership is run by and for LGBTQ+ communities based in Bradford and the wider region. We also provide awareness training.

We play an active role in developing our LGB&T communities by supporting existing groups and helping new ones to start through our community development work. We run the bi-monthly Groups Forum, where groups and individuals come together to network and discuss issues. We support LGB&T groups and individuals to have a say in the decisions taken by agencies which affect our lives. We work in partner

ship with other voluntary and statutory agencies to ensure that local services are appropriate to the needs of LGB&T people. We send representatives to the Council's Equality Forum to influence how their services are run, and to the Homophobic Scrutiny panel run by West Yorkshire Police, to influence how they deal with complaints about homophobic hate crime. Our training programme is geared towards giving organisations the knowledge and tools to combat homophobia and create LGB-friendly workplaces and services. Our Equity Centre provides a relaxed meeting space for groups, a fully-equipped training resource and a venue for events, right in the centre of Bradford. Our news bulletins and email updates keep our supporters up to date with the latest news and events. You can show your support for the Equity Partnership in several ways. You can have a voice in our future development by becoming a member, or you can volunteer to help us in the day-to-day running of the Partnership and the Equity Centre.

Today, we remember the 49 lives lost in the Pulse Nightclub shooting and stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community. Ten years on, we honour their memory, celebrate their lives, and reaffirm our commitment to creating a world where everyone can live safely, openly, and proudly.

Support Bradford Pride!

On Saturday 26th July, a small group of dedicated Equity members will be taking on a sponsored walk from Ilkley to the Equity Centre (12.5 miles) to raise money for Bradford Pride.

🎉 If they raise over £200, one of our members has agreed to complete the entire walk in a SHARK COSTUME! 🎉

Whether you're supporting Bradford Pride, cheering on our walkers, or just want to see someone tackle the route dressed as a shark, every donation helps make a difference.

Please support our fundraiser and donate here:

Thank you for your support – and let's make sure that shark has to lace up its walking shoes!

On July 26th, we will be setting out from Ilkley and walking over 12 miles along the Dales Way Link to B… Kody Wilman needs your support for Walking For Pride

This year, it is more important than ever to remember why we have Pride. Pride has always been more than a celebration, pride began as a protest and remains a movement for LGBTQ+ rights and equality. The Stonewall Riots were the spark that ignited the modern Pride movement, and trans women were at the forefront of that fight.

As we celebrate how far we've come, we must also stand up for those whose rights and dignity are still being challenged. Pride is about community, solidarity, and continuing the fight for equality for everyone.
