New Vision Bradford New Vision Bradford is the alcohol and drug service for people across the Bradford District.

Starting on 1 April 2023, we will be offering a range of support for people experiencing issues with substances from across Bradford, Keighley, Bingley, Ilkley, Shipley and all the towns and villages in the district. Our experienced, professional teams work together with individuals to develop a recovery plan that suits them. Everyone is provided with a dedicated worker to support them through their recovery journey.

WELCOME TO NEW VISION BRADFORD

As part of Open Houses, a nationwide campaign led by Choices Rehabs and Phoenix Futures, to break down barriers to treatment, challenge stigma and provide greater insight into drug and alcohol treatment and recovery services, we are pleased to launch our new service video 🎬✨

The video offers commissioners, healthcare professionals, partners and the wider community a glimpse into life at New Vision Bradford. More importantly, it provides reassurance to anyone who may need our support, helping them understand what to expect when they take that first step through our doors.

At New Vision Bradford, we believe that recovery is possible, and that seeking support should never feel daunting or overwhelming.

As we conclude our series for Recovery Month, members of our recovery community share what recovery means to them and how their lives have changed since overcoming addiction.

Their stories are powerful reminders that recovery is possible, and that hope, purpose and fulfilment can be found beyond addiction.

For those attending the Faces & Voices of Recovery UK Recovery Walk today, here's the schedule of entertainment in the Recovery Village.

12pm - Walk starts
12:45pm - 1:15pm Cheryl Holland (singer)
1:40 - 2pm - Joseph Braithwaite (singer)
2:10pm - 2:40pm - Punjabi Roots drummers with Sheffield School of Bollywood
2:50 - 3:10pm - Sweet K&T Steel Pan Band
3:20pm - 3:35pm - Gemma Cain (fire performer)
3:35 - 4:55 - DJs

There will also be stilt walkers, balloon fairies, face painters, circus workshops and other performers along the route and in the Recovery Village throughout the day. Come and join the fun!

Today, our colleague Sarah has bravely shared her deeply personal experience of losing her son, Luke, to su***de.

Her story reminds us that the signs are not always obvious. People can be struggling silently, and those around them may never realise the pain they are carrying. Sarah's message is simple but powerful: take care of one another, check in with the people around you, and always inspire hope. You never know how much a kind word, a listening ear, or a simple act of compassion could mean to someone.
