Tonight our Scouts had Mark from Bricktopia for the themed meeting.
The Scouts did lots of Lego challenges and everyone enjoyed the evening.

🎉 Celebrating 25 Years of Scouting! 🎉

Tonight, Michael, Scout Lead at 68th Bradford South, and GLV of 11th Spen Valley as well as Co-DLV of Bradford South, was presented with their 25 Years Long Service Award.

The award was presented by Angela, the “other” Co-DLV of Bradford South, which made for a funny moment since 11th Spen Valley isn’t actually part of Bradford South! 😄

A huge congratulations and thank you for 25 years of dedication, leadership, and inspiring Scouts across both Bradford South and Spen Valley, proving that Scouting friendships really do go beyond boundaries! 💛

At tonights family “68th’s Got Talent” Michael one of our district lead volunteers presented two awards to our adult volunteers.
Janine Dunn (Bat) was presented with her adult training “Wood Badge” and Kirsty Hall (Raksha) was presented with her Chief Scouts Commendation for good service.

🍳🔥 What an amazing day for 68th Bradford South! 🔥🍳

Last Saturday (22/11/2025), our group took part in the Bradford South District Scout Section Cooking Competition, and we’re incredibly proud to say that 68th Bradford South entered two fantastic teams!

Both teams showed brilliant teamwork, creativity, and confidence in the kitchen during the Ready Steady Cook–style challenge. The standard across the district was incredibly high, and our young people absolutely rose to the occasion.

Although the overall winners were the team from 20th Bradford South, we are proud of the effort, enthusiasm, and skills shown by both of our 68th teams — you represented us brilliantly and should be very proud of yourselves! 👏✨

A massive shout of thanks to ULTIMATE FIREWORKS BRADFORD for their help with our Fireworks for Wednesday's event.
Their help and advice were superb; this has allowed us to get a good selection, at a reasonable price as well.

🎆 Hi everyone! 🎇

A quick heads-up from your neighbours at the 68th Bradford South Scout Group here in Wyke 👋

We’ll be holding a Family Fireworks Night for our Scouts and their families on Wednesday evening at St Mary’s Church.

🕡 It’ll start around 6:30pm and should be all finished within an hour.

It’s a private event for our young people, but we just wanted to let local residents know there’ll be a few fireworks and some noise during that time.

We really appreciate your understanding and continued support for Scouting in our local community 💚
