The Baby Steps Team are boycotting our beds on the 6th of October to raise money to support vulnerable children across the UK. Action for Children make sure children have the basics - warm clothes, hot meals and a proper bed. They can help them recover from abuse and neglect, and put support in place for families to protect against it happening.
At Baby Steps we work directly with vulnerable families in Bradford, and we see first-hand how essential the funding we can provide from Action For Children can be. We try to support families with preparing for their newborns, providing equipment to support learning and ensuring houses are furnished.
£45 could pay for gas and electricity for a family for a week, £50 could buy clothes and shoes for a child, £125 could provide a child with a bed and £200 could provide a family with a cooker.
