Being a volunteer Community First Responder with Yorkshire Ambulance Service really does fit in/around your daily life. Be it work, household chores and much more. This week Baildon and surrounding areas CFR’s whilst booked on duty have been;

working from home,
Doing the ironing,
Popping to friends to feed the fish
Unjamming a roller shutter door on a beauty salon
Completing online training
….and much more.

But always ready to drop what they are doing when the siren goes off, ready to respond.

Here’s the link to find out more and join this lifesaving team.

You’ll be trained to treat cardiac arrests, breathing difficulties, strokes, and other critical situations. Sometimes you’ll provide vital treatment; other times, just your presence and reassurance will make all the difference to patients and their families.
