💚A few weeks ago our Maternity Circles had their 5th Parent Panel!

The parent panel strengthens the voice of the families attending our circles, enabling families to
offer feedback, give insight of their lived experience, make suggestions for development and to shape the provision of our circles.

We are really thankful and value the input of all the families at our parent panels and below you can see the words the families used to describe our circles and how they make them feel. As well as messages from our circle families for pregnant mums and mums in the early weeks of motherhood. 💚

World Breastfeeding Week 💚💜🌍

World Breastfeeding Week, 1 - 7 August 2026

This World Breastfeeding Week, we want to celebrate, support and champion every family on their infant feeding journey.

Breastfeeding can be a wonderful experience, but it can also come with challenges, particularly for families whose babies may need additional care.

As your Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP), we believe every family deserves access to compassionate, evidence-based infant feeding support, free from judgement. You deserve to feel listened to, informed and supported to make the choices that are right for you and your baby.

If breastfeeding was part of your journey, we’d love to hear about your experience:

💕This week marks the start of South Asian Baby Loss Awareness Week💕

Last year, we were proud to support miscarriage advocate Asiya in the launch of the first South Asian Baby Loss Awareness Week (SABLAW).

Today marks the start of the 2nd annual - a time for honest conversations, education, reflection, and community action. But why is SABLAW so important?

Recent data from MBRRACE has shown Asian families are more likely to be affected by baby loss, with South Asian families more likely to experience stillbirth and neonatal death. This is unacceptable.

We also know there can be a taboo around baby loss in South Asian communities. In a recent article for Stylist, bereaved mum Safeeyah wrote: "South Asian families are racked with silence when it comes to miscarriage, stillbirth and infant death. Uncomfortable conversations are often avoided, a sympathetic half-smile offered in its place, and that community stigma can be devastatingly powerful.”

Birth Trauma Awareness Week 2026 💜

💚🧘Over the last two weeks we had the wonderful Kellyann yoga back with us, with gentle stretching and movement for our mamas and fun filled singing and music with our littles ones! Thank you so much for joining us again Kellyannyoga! 💚🧘

One of our Circle mamas said “it’s always my favourite circle when Kellyann comes she always makes it fun for the babies but makes sure we get time too just for us which I think we really need” 🥰

💚💜We also had the lovely Danuta from Bradford Baby Bank join us, sharing all about the wonderful work they all do at Bradford Baby Bank, it was made extra special as one of our Circle mamas was able to say to Danuta how much the Bradford Baby Bank helped her when she was pregnant, I asked this lovely Circle mama if I could share her words, here they are…

“I was struggling with affording some stuff for my baby and I shared it with my midwife and she referred me to Bradford baby bank, after a week they provided all items I needed and they were delivered to my house I didn’t even need to go anywhere and as a pregnant woman that was so nice and helpful for me , they delivered items for me and even more than what I asked for even now, my baby is 1 and half year old and I still use the items” 🥰
