What an exciting day back after the bank holiday break at Tasty Chewsday!

Who am I? Followed by pin the moustache on Freddie Mercury! And a Birthday cake to celebrate our lovely Enid’s birthday🎈🎈

Always such a pleasure to be back in great company, this time with a new volunteer too! Who was kindly and warmly welcomed by our lovely regular volunteers, who are always on hand to welcome people and show them the ropes!

We are back tomorrow for our Memory Lane cafe!!We can’t wait to see you there!

We are off this week giving our volunteers and staff a well deserved break.

We operate 48 weeks of the year, so it’s important to us that we make sure our volunteers are looked after and well rested!

We can’t wait to be back next week for more fun, and maybe some dancing…..

Tasty Chewsday- We had so much fun this week we forgot to take photos!!

We played our daytime version of ‘beer pong’ followed by a quiz to get our minds and body’s in gear!

Freshly prepared cheese and online slice with all the trimmings followed by a delicious Eton mess for dessert⭐️

Some pictures from over the last year of all the fun we’ve had so far!

We aren’t in next Tuesday but we are back with plenty more fun on Tuesday 8th September⭐️

Older people’s groups aren’t just “activities”. They’re lifelines.

They mean:
- *Friendship* instead of isolation
- *Laughter* instead of long, quiet days
- *Support* when life gets tough
- *Purpose* and something to look forward to

Since 2007, our charity has been bringing people together because connection keeps us well. Mind, body, and spirit

Did you know? Over 1 million older people in the UK say they often feel lonely.

That’s why older people’s groups are so important.

Since 2007 BDSP has been working to combat loneliness in our community. Our groups are places to:
- Meet friends who “get it”
- Stay active and try new things
- Share stories, skills, and support
- Feel part of something again

The science backs it up too — regular social connection reduces risk of depression, dementia, and even heart disease. But honestly, you can just see it in people’s faces when they walk in.

Our charity exists because everyone deserves company, care, and community, at every age.

Tasty Chewsday

Another week of fun with our group!

We did a short quiz to get everyone's brains in gear then onto some reminiscing. We love hearing our ladies and gents stories and tales from over the years, they are a fountain of knowledge and have so many memories from over the years to share!

Nothing but smiles at this months memory lane⭐️⭐️⭐️See you next month on Friday 11th September!
