As this weekend’s World Down Syndrome Day (Saturday 21 March) approaches, we’re delighted to share this lovely thank-you video from the Wakefield & District Down Syndrome Support Group.

We recently awarded the small, volunteer-led charity a £5,000 grant through our local community fund, and we’re over the moon to hear what a difference it will make in helping them continue delivering their wonderful activities and support groups.

Big thanks to Helen Lynskey, Secretary of Bradford Metropolitan Food Bank, for giving us a glimpse into the incredible work happening every day to support vulnerable people across Bradford.

In the video, Helen explains how the food bank carefully organises and delivers around 300 food parcels to those who need them most.

Thanks to a £5,000 Local Community Fund grant from the cardfactory Foundation, the food bank has been able to buy more nutritious food, boost their stocks, and provide a better variety of essentials for local families and individuals facing hardship.

Thank you to Georgie Moseley for sharing this incredibly moving video about her son Harry 💛

Harry sadly passed away from cancer, but in the last two years of his life he achieved something truly extraordinary - setting up a charity that raised a phenomenal amount of money for causes close to his heart. Hearing how the grant we awarded to is now being used to deliver counselling therapy and support people living with cancer means so much to us, and knowing it’s helping to keep Harry’s dream alive makes it even more special.

On World Cancer Day, there feels like no better time to share Harry’s story, celebrate the remarkable work he did, and honour the powerful legacy he leaves behind. We’ve been deeply touched learning about the work you do, Georgie, and we’re so grateful you shared Harry’s story with us.

Now we’d like to send our appreciation right back to Neil for taking the time to tell us how the money will be used to get more men talking, as well as opening up about his own experiences in a bid to support other people 🙏
