Eid al-Adha Mubarak from all of us at Fayakunu.
May your sacrifices be accepted, your hearts be at peace, and your actions filled with meaning.

This Eid, we remember the values of sincerity, trust, and service. At Fayakunu, we carry those values into our work — building a space rooted in craft, community, and purpose.

Jazakum Allahu khayran for your continued support.

🚨 Only 90 Days Left to Open Fayakunu ✋🏽🛠️
Bradford’s first cultural makerspace — where art, craft, and STEM come together under one roof.

From pottery and woodworking to carbon fibre casting, digital design, and Islamic heritage arts — Fayakunu is about creating access, opportunity, and hands-on skills for the community.

📢 Our goal is to open the doors by the end of September — and we need your help to get there.

This is your chance to back something truly grassroots, built by and for the people of Bradford.

💥 Please donate whatever you can — and share this message far and wide.
Every contribution and every repost brings us closer to opening the doors.

It was an honour to meet HRH King Charles Ill and share a fantastic conversation about arts, community, and cultural legacy. I was sharing space alongside the brilliant artist Razwan Ul-Haq’s - the driving force behind the powerful Fighting to Be Heard exhibition.

Fayakunu is proud to be one of the official legacy projects selected by Bradford City of Culture 2025, continuing to serve our community through arts, craft, and design.

We’re also looking forward to potential collaboration with The King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts to help preserve and celebrate Islamic heritage art in the UK.

Fayakunu is Rising—Be Part of the Movement! 🚀

From an empty space to a thriving creative hub, Fayakunu has come a long way. It all started with the Bekun sculpture, created in our bare studio—a symbol of resilience and vision. Now, with capital funding secured for 2025, we’re transforming this space into a state-of-the-art workshop, ready to open this summer!

🔹 What’s Coming?
✅ Subsidised workshops in woodworking, ceramics, metalwork & CNC water jet cutting—making high-quality creative training accessible to all.
✅ A safe & accessible space with keyless entry & machine access control, ensuring a secure environment for makers, artists, and the community.
✅ A Warm Spaces Initiative, providing a heated, welcoming environment during colder months for those who need it most.
✅ A creative hub where artists, makers & designers can learn, teach, collaborate & exhibit their work.

We’re also revitalizing West Bowling, turning an overlooked space into a beacon of culture. New gates, external walls, and sandstone pillars are helping reshape the area, bringing investment, creativity, and new opportunities to the heart of Bradford.

This is more than just a workspace—it’s a movement for creativity, inclusion, and opportunity. We’re gearing up for an exciting summer launch, and we want YOU to be part of it!
