To everyone at All fresh fruit and veg (Scott Parsons) & The Veg Shop - Brighouse this is what we do with all those boxes you’ve kindly donated this year. Hundreds of boxes crammed full of reading books, arts & crafts resources, sports kit, pens & pencils, teaching aids and tools. All now on their way to The Gambia to be distributed to dozens of schools throughout the country. Thanks again

Scott from All fresh fruit and veg in Halifax Borough Market has been an absolute star for us this year giving us literally hundreds of banana boxes. It’s no exaggeration to say that without these marvellous pieces of cardboard we’d struggle to deal with all the donations our wonderful supporters provide for us.

In you live in the Halifax area please try to support all the independent traders like All Fresh in the Borough Market

Many, many thanks to our long standing supporters Sinclairs Otley for this fabulous donation of 7 pallets of exercise books. This donation will quite literally help thousands of pupils across The Gambia with their education.

Special thanks to Paul Howard & Gary Johnson from Sinclairs for arranging the donation and Liam & Dave at Team Wesley Logistics for unloading ….. it saved Paul an awful lot of back pain 😂

In 2021, thanks to a generous legacy from Carolyn Williams we were able to build a whole new school at Njalal Samba in the Central River Region. The original makeshift building was replaced with four classrooms, a kitchen, a library, teachers quarters, toilets and a perimeter wall. Extra classrooms were added in 2024 enabling the school to cater for nursery education and all six Lower Basic grades. This year they have held the first graduation ceremony To lots of excitement and great achievements. The staff and head teacher have worked tirelessly to improve the quality of education making this school one of the most successful in the area.
