Join us in October for our next in-person quality workshop, where we’ll revisit the foundations of outstanding care.

Together we'll explore how robust assessments, effective risk management and truly person-centred care planning work together to improve outcomes for the people we support.

This workshop is for anyone involved in assessing needs, identifying risks and developing care plans. It will provide practical guidance, examples of good practice and useful tools to support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.

Nominations for the Bradford Cares Excellence Awards 2026 are now closed. A huge thank you to everyone who recognised the outstanding individuals and teams working across adult social care in Bradford! Judges will now begin reviewing nominations and selecting this year's finalists.

What's next?

🌟 The finalists will be announced in September 2026.
🌟 Nominations will be reviewed by independent judging panels, including representatives from the local authority, the NHS/ICB, people with lived experience, and the BCA leadership team.
🌟 To ensure a fair and transparent process, all nominations will be anonymised and assessed solely against the award criteria. No BCA board members or adult social care providers will be involved in the judging process.

🚨 Care providers – your voice is essential!

Zero-hours contract reform is on the table, and the changes could have a significant impact on how adult social care recruits, rotas and retains its workforce.

The Government needs to understand the realities of delivering care, including the flexibility our sector needs to respond to changing needs, emergencies and workforce pressures.
