The next Health Check is Saturday 6th June 11am until 3pm at Great Horton Community Hub, Beldon Road.

Come along with family and friends to their Fun Day and our Health Check team will be alongside to give you a mini MOT.

The team will take your height and weight, check your blood pressure and take your bloods to check for diabetes, cholesterol and more. All results will be sent direct to your GP.

We look forward to seeing you all next week.

We are looking for some extra support in our on site cafe to help during busy periods.

This is a flexible role (approx. 7–10 hours per week), to include Fridays and busier times, with additional hours available to help cover holidays.

No previous café experience is essential – just enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn 😊

If you’re friendly, approachable, and enjoy working as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you!

Please note the cafe is only open Monday - Friday for Breakfast & Lunch, therefore no weekend work required.

The FREE NHS Health check is at Woodside Village Centre this Thursday 10am-2pm. This will be running alongside their Wellbeing Hub, please see posters below for further information, contact 01274 355600 option 1 or call into the centre.

Please note today's Maternity Circle at Bradford South Family Hub, Reevy Hill, Buttershaw, has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. The session will be back next week as normal.

Great Horton Park Chapel Cricket Club have a DIY Draught excluder event on Friday 20th February, 1pm-5pm. A great afternoon for all the family, take your old and unwanted clothes to make your very own draught excluder!

💜 What will happen at the Health Check?

👩🏼‍⚕️ The nurses will take your blood pressure, bloods to test for cholesterol, diabetes and more, and we can check your height and weight too.

👩🏼‍⚕️ All information and results will be sent straight to your GP and they will contact you if a health concern is highlighted.

👩🏼‍⚕️ We will be there to talk to you about all things Social Prescribing and Patchs as well as other services who will be joining us.

The Woodside Wellbeing Hub is open and ready to help with any support or advice you need! We have Bridge, Citizens Advice, Family Navigators, The Sutton Centre, Working on Wellbeing Social Prescribing, Dementia Hub, DWP, and Inspiring Neighbourhoods all in the centre and ready to assist you. These services are all FREE for you to speak to. Come along and meet the great teams and refreshments are available.
