Busy Week for Bracknell PCF π¬
Last week was a very busy and productive one for Bracknell PCF, with a strong focus on the SEND and Alternative Provision (AP) reforms currently taking place.
Hereβs a snapshot of what weβve been up to:
β
Attended a progress meeting on the SEND & AP strategy
β
Shared our annual survey analysis and formal consultation response on SEND reforms β these will be going out on our social media this week, so keep an eye out!
β
Received a response from Peter Swallow MP, confirming our concerns have been passed directly to the Minister for Schools, Georgia Gould
β
Joined a Community of Practice session with updates on the *Expert at Hand* guidance for local areas (launching in September)
β
Met with the new ICB to begin establishing a working party with 8 PCFs
β
Held our monthly Breakfast & Connections session β
β
Took part in a workshop with the Local Area Partnership, Independent Chair, and local councillors to discuss improvement plans and reform priorities
β
Attended the Regional PCF Conference, engaging with DfE and NHS England advisors to ensure the right questions are being asked and the focus remains on what children and young people truly need
Finally, we have reviewed the current reform plans and made changes to strengthen local provision. Where suitable local provision is not available, we will continue to advocate for appropriate alternative placements.
Thank you to everyone involved β your voices continue to make a difference π
