The next walk will be on Friday 28th November and is our usual pre-Christmas walk from Bathford and along the Canal to the Holburne Museum for Coffee and back again. Feel free to bring a female friend if you wish. It’s a nice undemanding walk.

We’ll meet on the road by the Crown Pub at Bathford for 10.00 a.m. start and then cross the road, go beside the railway bridge and over the meadows to the Canal towpath. Suggest good walking trainers or even boots as it can be a bit slippery. If you prefer you can join us on the towpath outside the George at Batheaston, and park in the pub car park you’ll have to pay the toll bridge fee and park in the area reserved for walkers, or alternatively use the carpark at Batheaston and go over the footbridge and over the fields, which will cut the walk down a little. Should be there about 10.15 ish, let me know if this is your preferred joining place so we make sure we meet up.

If anyone just wants to join us for coffee that’s fine, I’d imagine we’d arrive about 11.10 ish and if we have dogs with us (and their owners of course) they may have to be outside. It’s always busy in that café so we may need to be outside anyway depending on numbers. I am really not sure if dogs can be inside or not, I’ve a feeling that last year we were allowed inside with dogs!

The Christmas market will have started, so some walkers may wish to visit that, or Just potter round Bath, and travel back later by bus. Otherwise we’ll just have refreshments and retrace our steps. If you’d like to come just let me know, my mobile below, or simply turn up, and if you need a lift, again I am sure that can be arranged. It‘s probably no more than 4 miles round trip.
