For the first time the Bow Brickhill Burns Supper team are organising a Scottsih Ceilidh in the Community hall on FRIDAY 23rd of Jan - just to help set the mood for Burns. This is a no ticket, no cost community event open to everyone in the village - so even if you did not get a ticket for the Burns Supper you will be very welcome to come along on Friday.

Come with no idea of Scottish Ceilidh dancing and leave exhausted with a broad smile and a great sense of achievement. If it all works out we may do it again.

Here is the plan.

We will start at 1930hrs, there will be no band, but we have found a source of great Scottish Country dance tunes that we will play over some speakers, there will be no bar so do bring your own refreshments - there will be water from the tap! We will get through about 4 dances several times, until we are getting good, then we stop while we are ahead. All finished by 2130hrs, but come for as much or as little as you like.

Spectator only tickets are available for £100 per person - don't be daft, come and join in for free.

Wear a splash of tartan if you have something.

Footwear - sensible flat shoes for dancing in, ones that won't mark the floor.

Any questions go direct to Ian McColl on [email protected].

Looking forward to seeing as many as possible - works with 6, but more fun with 36 (or more)!
