Proposed indoor skate pop up in, Feb half term and hopefully an intermittment space for local coaches to give lessons or skaters to practice. We need your help!

I’m pleased to say that, whilst we sadly had to cancel our event last year, and that Beaufort Community Centre and The Factory Space have unfortunately closed, we were able to secure a corporate donation that went to

Intrepid was able to offer free family fun days, providing equipment, boards, pads, apparatus etc to welcome many new kids to the sport. Loads of kids got to try skateboarding for the first time, and more than 50% girls. Rad af.

After all the work Ashley from Intrepid put into this, having never met me before, I’m so happy something good came of it. Gotta love people that see an opportunity to do something fun and run with it! Who knows what the future will hold.

Absolute heartbreak. A very unfortunate issue with the venue means we are unable to go ahead. It now turns out we are not able to skate on the gym floor, as we had thought. It is an error on their part, but a genuine one - so although I am absolutely gutted, it is not with any malice. We had been told we could, we’ve visited many times, measured the hall, signed the forms and had this sorted for months.

If this had been more notice we might have been able to go elsewhere. We have quickly checked out another three options and none can accommodate us. I’ll explain in a video shortly. Absolutely gutted. The cancellation process will be triggered tomorrow Feb 10th, so patrons should receive an email then and refunds as soon as the transfers go through.

Introducing who will be helping out at the community event.
Fernanda is a Brazilian skateboard instructor based in Bournemouth. She has a strong background in community and social skate events and loves being involved in skateboard initiatives. Fernanda will be joining the event as a volunteer, helping to support the skaters on the day. Thanks Fernanda!
