Come & get involved. The Wessex Surf Club was established in 1964 and is one of the longest running surf clubs in the UK. The club is an integral part of the local surfing community providing a social platform and a collaborative voice for the community of surfers in the Wessex region. As we are a totally independant club we are able to speak and take decisions without fear of any conflicts of int
erest with any commercial operations. However we are happy to collaborate with any commercial operations to the mutual benefit of both whilst still retaining our independance. Members / Non Members are welcome at our monthly socials, whatever your choice of surf craft, be it a longboard, shortboard, bodyboard, mat, SUP. We all love to share the stoke of surfing. Maybe you just want to be a social member as you simply know someone that does surf or just want to enjoy being part of the surf scene. Social night format:
8pm Doors open.
8.00 - 12.00am Social to include such things as live music, films, specialist speakers etc. As well as discussion of club / member issues, when necessary, come and have your say! An AGM is held in February. Membership lasts for one year from date of joining. Our AGM which elects the Committee is usually held in February. Benefits of membership include being part of and supporting your local surf community club, having an outlet to voice your opinions/concerns about anything surf related locally, free entry to our regular monthly social events and other surf related activities such as surf competitions, and a membership card that gives you access to discounts on many surf related items and a range of other items (through our network of kind sponsors)!
