Keeping our planet Earth in mind

Life is hectic, even at the best of times, and we know how time (and cash) poor we all are. But climate activism doesn’t have to take up too much time and neither does it have to cost a penny. In fact, there are many simple ways that we can keep the cause of saving our home at the forefront of our minds, such as by:

Acknowledging all that we already do and finding new ways to improve.

None of us are perfect at this, and it’s an ongoing thing. Many of the changes we have already made probably took some effort and, perhaps, required a new and different way of looking at things. This isn’t always easy to do, so give yourself some credit. Then use this good energy to propel yourself forward and look out for opportunities to learn more and make new changes. That being said, reflecting on the things that you already do, and any benefits, deserves a moment of celebration.

This can remind us that anything is possible and that, yes, while we still have far to go, we have come a long way too.

Keeping Earth in Mind

Life is hectic, even at the best of times, and we know how time (and cash) poor we all feel.

But climate activism doesn’t have to take up much time.

Neither does it have to cost a penny.

In fact, there are many ways that we can keep the cause of saving our home at the forefront of our minds, such as by:

Committing to learning and staying inspired.

We know the science is scary. But we also know that fear is the ultimate immobiliser. So, while it’s important not to deny our feelings, it is crucial we pick ourselves up in order to keep going and get on with the task at hand.

One of the best ways to stay motivated is to keep learning, and - when we’re talking about the wonder that is our planet - there are endless topics for us to study: everything from understanding how a river flows, to the many ways that people - all over the world - are making previously unfathomable changes for the better.

Even casually chatting to friends can be an eye-opener.

And, perhaps more importantly, we can learn that despite all of the scary things we hear, we are not doomed, not alone, and that there are many positive things happening.

We are having our monthly chat and coffee this Wednesday morning. Join us. Whether you’d like to chat, or just listen, all are welcome.

🙂

Keeping our planet Earth in mind

Life is hectic, even at the best of times, and we know how time (and cash) poor we all are.

But Climate activism doesn’t have to take up much time. Neither does it have to cost a penny. In fact, there are many ways that we can keep the cause of saving our home at the forefront of our minds, such as by:

🌱Talking about it. Having conversations. Those chats that take place everyday: at work, at the school gate, with family and friends etc… can include mentions of any climate change and activism that’s taking place in the community, related news stories that we’ve come across, and, of course, our own take on the favourite of small-talk subjects: the weather.

The effects of climate change are becoming clearer for us all to see and so talking about it with others is, naturally, becoming more straightforward - in terms of the signs being more obvious and harder to ignore.

There’s an additional plus side to this, too, much more than just raising awareness and normalising the climate as a topic, and that’s that we get to, perhaps, feel a little lighter because we’ve shared our feelings.

Maybe even making new friends by discovering who is on the same page as us.

A Government U-turn on safe residential roads would destroy any hopes of a cycle friendly future. But if you don't stand up to be counted, politicians will never know that you want action for safer cycling. Add your voice: write to the PM.

It’s difficult to celebrate and be honestly joyful this Christmas when there are wars, horror, suffering and injustice all around us.
COP28 has not accomplished anything that could truly motivate humanity to stand in line with the urgency of the climate crisis.
Millions of hearts are bleeding because of the horror children and parents have to go through in the Israel-Palestine conflict as well as other wars and climate disasters.

We are tired, I know. But somehow we have to keep going, one step in front of an other. And one more. And one more.
Our planet is beautiful, humans CAN do wonders - even miracles.
Please keep going 💚 Believe in the possible 💚
