For those of you living in and around Tuckton you'll likely have met Matt Furnell. A lovely guy unfortunately suffering with some serious health conditions which has resulted in him having to look abroad for life saving treatment.

The treatment/operation is expensive so I ask you to please dig deep to support his trip to Germany, for what everyone hopes will be a resolution to his health problems.

I'm sorry, we messed up on Friday!

This beautiful Christmas wreath worth £65, provided by the lovely Lindsay at Heffords Flowers was supposed to be a raffle prize but for some reason it wasn't put out with the other prizes.

Ideally we'd just pull another raffle ticket but they were all thrown away on Friday evening, so here's what we've agreed to do...

Submit your 'auction' bids in the comments below and the biggest bid by the end of the day TODAY gets the wreath. It can be paid for and collected from Lewis and Faulkner on Friday morning.

TUCKTON'S JINGLE & MINGLE "TREASURE TRAIL" COMPETITION ...

We were really delighted that so many children took part in our 'Treasure Trail' competition on Friday evening! All the kids got a 'sweety treat' for entering and we hope they had fun! 🍭

Well what can I say other than a huge thank you to the community that came out to support our event on Friday night. It just goes to show what the community will back when the options are there. We estimate that more than 1,000 of you filled the parade. Our 50kg hog roast was sold in 70 minutes!!!

A huge thanks to all the traders of Tuckton who donated generously to the raffle, gave up their shop fronts and provided electric supplies to stall holders. We couldn’t have done this without you. Also a shout out to the stall holders who took a punt on a ‘first event’ but were pleasantly surprised by the brisk trade!

Whilst we don’t have the exact final figure, we raised in excess of £3,700 to plough back into community projects in Tuckton, I couldn’t be more proud of you all.

Lessons have been learnt and we’ll have a think about our next event to make it bigger and better.
