When I was younger I didn’t realise I had a massive insecurity about not being good enough.

I thought that making more money would make me happier.

I spent over a decade of my life chasing the money only to realise the reason I thought I needed it was to validate myself and prove to the world I am good enough.

The only person who decides if you are good enough is you.

I was giving other people the power to decide my worth.

Good enough is not perfect. No one is.

Good enough is not even giving 100%. If you gave 100% to any one thing in your life it means you are neglecting many other important things.

Good enough is doing the best you can do in that moment taking into account everything else you are dealing with.

It doesnt mean you can be better tomorrow but what you did today was good enough.

What ever sh*t life is throwing at you right now, you are doing a alright.

Do your best today and be happy with it today. Then get up tomorrow and do your best tomorrow. Repeat.

That is good enough.

You are good enough.

Next time someone is being horrible to you remember it is them who is suffering the most. Have compassion and empathy for the pain they are going through. It’s not your job to fix them but you can offer them your kindness even if they are being unkind to others. If you are kind to them it might make them realise they deserve to be kinder to themselves.

EVERYONE deserves to be treated with kindness. Now more than ever. No one is born an ar****le, bad s**t happens to them which f***s them up. If you treat an ar****le like an ar****le they will forever be an ar****le.

Someone needs to show them some kindness to break the negative cycle they are in.

They probably have low self worth and low self esteem because they were not given the love they needed growing up.

They now project their own insecurities, anger and hate on to other people.

Offer them kindness and empathy, it’s not their fault.

The first time I went to the doctor's to speak abouty mental health he said you need to replace a habit with a habit.

At the time I was numbing my pain with alcohol. Binge drinking at the weekend. I could not imagine my life with out alcohol.

Instead of drinking on a Friday night I found something else that I enjoyed more to do on Saturday morning. I found a part of my weekend to enjoy my new habit which I enjoyed more than my old habit.

Great advice from my doctor over a decade ago.
