🍂🎃 What an absolutely wonderful Harvest Festival at Digby Court! 🎃🍂

We had the BEST time celebrating all things autumn with our lovely residents, families, friends and community! ❤️ Our afternoon was filled with laughter, smiles, creativity, music and so many special memories. 🧡

There was something for everyone to enjoy, from our fun W**e or Water game 🍷💧 and pumpkin decorating tables 🎃 (which produced some absolutely beautiful creations!) to a fantastic selection of stalls, including homemade bakes, 3D-printed creations, autumnal wreaths and signs, and the most adorable homemade bears and delicious jams made by our very own chef! 🍯🧸🍰

A huge thank you to our wonderful chef for creating such a lovely selection of autumnal goodies for everyone to enjoy. 🍂

🎶 A very special thank you to Jenkulele for bringing the ukulele, filling the room with music and getting our residents up on their feet and dancing! 💃🕺 Seeing everyone smiling, singing along and enjoying themselves was just magical! 🥰

Most importantly, a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came along, supported our stalls, joined in the activities and helped make the afternoon so incredibly special. 💛 Your kindness, generosity and enthusiasm mean so much to us here at Digby Court.

It's safe to say we had the absolute best time, and we're so grateful to have shared such a lovely afternoon with you all! 🧡🍁

💝💕Celebrating National Love People Day!💕💝

To mark National Love People Day, we created a beautiful display filled with handmade hearts from our residents and staff, and special cards sharing who they love and why. ❤️Each heart and card tells its own little story, making our display extra special!💕

Activities like this are a lovely way to encourage friendships, bring everyone together and give our residents the opportunity to share their memories and the people who mean the most to them. 💓 It’s a wonderful reminder that love comes in many forms, whether it’s family, friends or the special bonds we build with one another here at our home.

We love creating opportunities for our residents to express themselves, celebrate their relationships and spread a little extra kindness. After all, it’s the connections we make and the love we share that make our home feel like one big family! 🏡❤️

Our home is looking wonderfully autumnal and we’re getting all ready for our Harvest Festival this Saturday! 🧡🍁

Our scarecrow is ready to welcome everyone, and we’ve been busy decorating with lots of mini pumpkins and beautiful autumn leaves to bring a little seasonal magic into our home. 🎃🍂

We can’t wait to welcome everyone for a lovely afternoon of autumn fun, so why not come along and join us? 🍁🥰

To celebrate, we worked together with our residents to create a very special poem inspired by life here at our home. ❤️

The poem was shaped by their memories, experiences and the things that make our home feel so special. It was wonderful to hear their ideas and see them come together to create something that is truly their own.

✨A Little Advice From Our Wonderful Residents and Staff ✨

There is something very special about bringing generations and experiences together. Our residents have a lifetime of stories, memories and wisdom to share, while our amazing staff bring their own experiences, kindness and perspective.

So, we asked them one simple question: "What advice would you give to others?"💭❤️

The answers are a lovely reminder that sometimes the best advice is also the simplest - enjoy the little things, cherish those around you and keep smiling!

We hope their words bring a smile to your face and perhaps even give you a little something to think about. After all, wisdom comes in many forms, and there is always something we can learn from one another. ✨💕

💚What a lovely morning for a wonderful cause!💚

Today we came together to support Macmillan Cancer Support, and our amazing chef Sarah Staples bravely had her head shaved to help raise money for such an important charity! 💚✨

We are so proud of her and her incredible generosity!

Our staff also showed their support by wearing their Macmillan tops, while residents, staff and visitors enjoyed plenty of delicious cupcakes and coffee together!🧁☕

It was a lovely morning filled with smiles, laughter and lots of support - all while raising money for a great cause!💚

A huge well done to our chef, and thank you to everyone who donated, joined in and helped make the morning so special!

Our residents absolutely loved having some very special visitors at the care home! 🥰

There were plenty of smiles, laughter and happy memories made as everyone got to meet a hen, dog, rabbit, guinea pig and tortoise! 🐔🐶🐰🐹🐢

The residents really enjoyed seeing the animals up close, giving them lots of fuss and simply spending time enjoying their company! It was lovely to see so many happy faces and hear everyone chatting about their favourite visitors afterwards. 🥰🫶

A truly special visit that brought so much joy to our residents. A big thank you Michelle's Animal Therapy & Petting Party for bringing them along and making the afternoon so memorable! 🥰
