💛🧡 Continuing to make wonderful connections…
It was wonderful to meet with the lovely Tara, at the Parapet Breast Care Centre in Windsor this week.
Some of our Cancer CONNECT community have been supported by the team there, so it was lovely to meet them, hear more about the work they do and share a little more about Cancer CONNECT.
Thank you so much for your time, your warm welcome and for all you do to support people affected by breast cancer. 💛🧡

We had a wonderful, if not gusty ! morning at Bourne End community market on Saturday.
It was great to meet some potential new faces for our group, to engage with the community, (buy some delicious home made scotch eggs and lavender candles!) and spread the word. We were lucky enough to chat to our local Buckinghamshire councillors and parishioners who were both encouraging and supportive for cancer CONNECT.
We can't wait for our next meet up at Flowerland, Bourne End on Friday 16th October at 10:30 am there's a space for YOU ! SEE YOU THERE !!!

💛🧡 What a lovely week for Cancer CONNECT!

It was wonderful to see everyone who joined us for our first evening meet-up on Tuesday at the Spade Oak! Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a lovely evening. 💛

And the good news is, we don't have long to wait until we're together again!

Such an important message. It’s not just women that get breast cancer. Please ask the men in your lives to check themselves.

Men, when was the last time you checked your chest?

Breast cancer doesn’t just affect women.

The recent Coronation Street storyline, which sees Kit Green diagnosed with breast cancer, has helped shine a much-needed spotlight on a disease many people don’t realise can affect men too.

Although male breast cancer is rare, it is just as important for men to be aware of the signs and symptoms.

Look out for:

* A lump or swelling in your chest or armpit
* Changes to the ni**le, including discharge
* Skin changes such as dimpling, redness or irritation
* A ni**le that turns inwards

Most changes won’t be cancer, but if you notice anything unusual, always get it checked by your GP.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let’s keep the conversation going and remind everyone that breast cancer awareness matters for men too.

Save this post and share it with the men in your life. Raising awareness could make all the difference.

Our first evening Cancer CONNECT meet-up was truly special! 💛

We had a wonderful turnout last night, with 15 people coming together to share warmth, support, and genuine connection. It was incredibly uplifting to see 7 new faces joined our community, finding a safe space to chat, listen, or just simply be with others who truly understand.

A massive thank you to the fantastic team at The Spade Oak in Bourne End. They looked after us so beautifully, keeping everyone refreshed with plenty of water, and letting us settle into their gorgeous, cosy snug area. Having that private, comfortable space made all the difference for our group.

Thank you to everyone who stepped out into the evening to join us. Whether you are navigating your own diagnosis, supporting a loved one, or living beyond cancer, please know you never have to walk this path alone.
