What a fantastic evening of pond dipping with our Cubs tonight! 🐸🦗🦋

The Cubs had an absolute blast exploring the stream and discovering all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures living beneath the water’s surface. Armed with nets and plenty of enthusiasm, they carefully searched through the stream and were amazed by what they found!

From wriggling water creatures to fascinating insects, there was plenty to spark curiosity and excitement. It was wonderful to see the Cubs learning about nature, asking lots of questions, and getting hands-on with the wildlife around them.

A huge thank you to King Louie and Bagheera for bravely venturing into the water to help the Cubs get a closer look at some of the stream’s fascinating residents. Your willingness to get wet certainly didn’t go unnoticed and helped make the evening even more memorable! 🌊👏

Well done to all of the Cubs for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and respect for the creatures and their habitat. Nights like these are what Scouting is all about – adventure, discovery, learning new skills, and having fun outdoors.

We can’t wait to see what adventures next week brings! 🌿🔍🐛

What a fantastic first night back with our Beavers! 🦫🌟

The energy, excitement, and smiles were incredible to see, and it was wonderful to have everyone back together after the break.

A huge thank you to Michael and George, who stepped up to run an action-packed games night while Flamingo was unable to make it. The Beavers absolutely loved every minute, and there was plenty of laughter, teamwork, and fun for everyone involved.

A special shout-out to Michael, who absolutely smashed leading the meeting. His enthusiasm, dedication, and ability to put the young people first shone through all evening, helping to make the night such a success.

Well done to all our Beavers for getting stuck in and making it such a brilliant start back. We can’t wait to see what adventures the rest of the term brings!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make the 1st Bottesford Scout Group Fun Run 2026 such an amazing success! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🌟

From our incredible runners taking on lap after lap, to the amazing marshalls cheering everyone on, keeping everyone safe, directing runners, handing out encouragement and helping the whole event run smoothly — we genuinely couldn’t have done it without you all. 💚

Yesterday the cubs and beavers came and were amazing along with the leaders doing the fun run in the heat. Many laps were completed many laughs had and a chief scout silver award was awarded to Ethan and George (Bagheera) was invested into the movement by Howard (the high sheriff of Lincolnshire) as they call him. I’m sure I can say lots of leaders will be very tired today because I know I am and I didn’t even run. But well done to all of them especially all the ones who won one of the awards.

Huge thanks to 1st Bottesford Scout Group cubs for their invite to their fun run this morning. Despite being very hot the cubs did amazingly well and the leaders looked fab in fancy dress. Grantham & District Scouts

Tonight the cubs litter-picked the whole of the skate park to ensure its nice and ready for the fun run on Sunday. They did so well they even had time to play in the park.

The Cubs have officially caught EVERY SINGLE LEADER in the Fun Run fundraising challenge and are still absolutely SMASHING their target! 💙🔥

Here’s the full leaderboard the Cubs have conquered:
