It was great to welcome Cllr. Dale Broughton and Cllr. John Baxter to our drop in session in the Blenkin Memorial Hall today😀.
📣 Centrepoint Outreach – temporary move update
This morning, Cllr Dale Broughton, Leader of the Council, and Cllr John Baxter, Portfolio Holder for Housing, visited Centrepoint Outreach’s new temporary shop location following their move from Red Lion Street, where the premises are currently being renovated.
They met with Elizabeth Hopkins, CEO of Centrepoint Outreach, and several dedicated volunteers to hear more about how the service is continuing during this period.
Centrepoint Outreach is now operating across two temporary locations:
🛍️ Shop (temporary location)
📍 18a Pescod Square, opposite Costa Coffee and next to Waterstones
🤝 Support services for people who are homeless or vulnerable
📍 Blenkin Memorial Hall, opposite St Botolph’s Church (The Stump)
Centrepoint Outreach are a charity based in Boston that help homeless and vulnerable people in Boston and the surrounding area be empowered, improve their circumstances and achieve their full potential. They believe that no one should be homeless and they provide a Drop In Centre for people who are homeless and vulnerable.
People who are rough sleeping will still have weekday access to shower facilities, with arrangements explained when they attend.
The move is temporary, and Centrepoint Outreach will return to Red Lion Street once renovations are complete. In the meantime, both the shop and vital support services remain up and running, just from different locations.
