Solar and battery power are rising fast across the UK — and they fit perfectly with The Green Organisation’s mission to champion real, practical environmental progress. ☀️🔋💚

Even under cloudy skies, modern solar keeps generating clean energy, while batteries store every spare unit for when grid prices jump. It’s a smart, sustainable way for homes and businesses to cut costs and cut carbon.

🌞 Solar works even in cloud cover
🔋 Batteries hold clean energy for peak times
💷 Together they deliver stable, long‑term savings
💚 Real environmental best practice in action

Savings grow as energy prices in Great Britain rise and cost of panel installation falls, analysis finds

THE BIG ECO-BLOW-OUT!!

* Oil formation (source‑rock deposition) ended tens of millions of years ago. * Thermal maturation continues in some basins, but only cracks existing oil into gas. * No new oil fields are forming today.

Some ancient systems are still “maturing” but they will not yield new usable oil. * The time required for oil formation (10–100 million years) means all viable source rocks have already completed their oil‑generation phase. * The conditions for Oil will never occur again on this planet... and it's a similar story for coal.

So we are effectively gambling the near-exhaustion of an astonishing and incredibly lucky resource - formed over aeons - against the tenuous hope that we will find some kind of effective long-term substitute for it that will work and go on working for millennia [so NOT nuclear, maybe not even renewables...] My word, we're arrogant... or clinically glib! At least all the previous civilizations to us - the Mayans, the Aztecs, the Romans, Greeks, etc - didn't strip away for all time such a precious and hard-won resource. One analogy that springs to mind Is of an ancient family who, over generations, scrimped and saved their pennies to create a glittering hoard; which one living member completely blows in one big coke-fuelled rave-up.
