Here at pickup football we seemed to of lost a few members of late.

What would you guys like from the club and perhaps entice old members back?

Is time an issue? Cost? Location? General running? Anything else? Let us know how we can kove forward and get pick up back to where Chris Wander left it and wanted it to be.

Hi all

When we had our last meeting it was discussed about doing a proper committee for the group and organising things properly. It's about time one was formed by the group. If you would like to be a committee member then please comment with your name. Then we can progress from there. :)

Hi guys / girls

Just a quick message from the admin of Pickup Football Boston.

We are thankful for your continued membership to the group. We have many new members and a good few of old from day one when Chris (abroad but not forgotten) started the group for 'socialising' (being the main aspect) and keeping fit as an added bonus.

We started at Peter Paine for a few weeks before being offered the use of Boston Town FC with all its facilities. The group grew to over 2 11 a sides a night with some really competitive games and some not so competitive. In time people have come and people have gone.

At Boston Town FC during the lighter months it offers the use of:
Two full size pitches with nets
Two five a side pitches with nets
Changing rooms
Bar for the socialising part after the game (which Chris Wander was really fond of)

During the darker months:
Use of main floodlit stadium
Changing rooms
5 aside outdoor pitch
And of course the bar / lounge.
There is also the use of all the above being used for events like the amazing two we had last year.

Boston Town is a community club much like Pickup Football is just on a larger scale. With pickup football being there it helps the club keep running just as the sponsors help the club keep going. It's good to help a local club which in turn benefits us as a group. If we didn't have our sponsors we wouldn't of had fireworks last year or amazing kits to use weekly.

We have been trying to get our own floodlights sorted. We have been promised help from various places which has failed to materialise with no fault to Boston Town and no fault to the people asking for the help. It would be good as a group to meet and discuss the options available. We have a large sum in our kitty for the actual lights but need the poles. It would be good for people to be able to put their hands up as a member and say perhaps I could help. Solutions are better than problems or moans and groans.

We have an amazing group built from nothing with some amazing members. Surely between all the members of the group we could come up with something. Ideas for big events like we've done before with everyone getting involved rather than just the one or two.

Between us all we can make this group an amazing success and grow bigger and better than ever.

If you have any suggestions then please do not hesitate to inbox us. Any complaints then do the same too. All comments and suggestions are welcome from one and all.

Thank you all once again for being a part of Pickup Football.
