We have a very talented group of ladies, our
Frampton WI Toppers.
If you live locally and driven past Frampton Village Hall you would have seen these wonderful toppers on each pillar post outside the hall.
This was done for our 90th birthday which is later on this year, they truly are great and we are all pleased on how they have turned out!
Hope you all agree. 🌻📚🎂

1st of the month, let’s say Frampton WI have been very busy since our April Meeting.
We have had a loose end crafting session, where our ladies had the chance to bring their own craft or learn to crochet a bowl, knitting with one of our members as a teacher or do a Sashiko Pin Cushion.
Plus part of our crafting group have decided to make some pillar toppers for celebrating our forthcoming 90th birthday later this year.

Today a group of our members have gone on a cruise, yes you heard it right, we have a cruise club that has been launched this year. I’m sure they will all thoroughly enjoy their little trip, safe travels to them all.
We can’t wait to see the photo’s.

So if you like the sound of all this and wish to make new friends and of course lovely memories then please get in touch, we would love to show you our lovely friendly group and hopefully you will join as a member. ❤️

LSFWI Annual Meeting at Springfields, Spalding
on Saturday, Frampton WI joined other members from at least 34 other institutes for an enjoyable day out. Chaired by Louise Reed, it was a mixture of traditional and useful information plus engaging speakers.
Our guest speakers included:
David Leyland: (NIVN) National Independent Volunteer Network who shared the inspiring work of volunteers who provide stable, long-term friendships for children in foster care and their unwavering mission to increase their numbers.
Lucy Lewis: The first female bomb disposal officer and first female Marshal at Cambridge University and the author of Lighting the Fuse. She gave us a fascinating look into her career and the very funny reason why she was nicknamed “ Captain Cowpat” during her time in the army.
Professor Stephanie Bridges: A fun deep dive into the “killer” chemistry of Agatha Christie. We learned how Christie used her real-world pharmacy knowledge to accurately dispatch characters with poisons like cyanide and arsenic found commonly in our own herbaceous borders!
All of those who attended thoroughly enjoyed the day, we also gained a certificate for our 90th year, looking forward to celebrating later this year. 🎉🥳😃
