🌟 Wonderful Wednesday 🌟

Another year and another fabulous VE day celebration at the hub 😊

Huge thank you to Walter for organising such a wonderful event.

Inspire-Lincs were the best helpers as always. Setting out tables, chairs, creating handmade banners and of course always bringing their amazing enthusiasm 🤩

Thanks also go to David for erecting the bunting and Old Leake Community Centre for their continued support 😊

As you know, we have the best bunch of volunteers. This week they prepped, cooked and served delicious bangers and mash and crumble for pudding 😋

It was another special day with our lovely hubbers 🥰

🌟 Singers Wanted 🌟

Do you love to sing and want to be part of a singing community?

The Beonna Ladies Community Choir are looking for Altos (lows) to join their choir.
They currently have space for 4 lows/altos.

If you are interested please message Charlotte Lumb-Mercer or Manda Crowder

The choir meets on Wednesday evenings from 6.45 - 8pm and is £4 a week.
Absolute beginners are welcome and no need to read music or have any experience 💜

🌟 Wonderful Wednesdays 🌟

Once again our Wonderful Wednesdays have made the news!

We are extremely proud of our hub and how it helps people in so many different ways.
But also our hardworking volunteers and hubbers too 🥰

The Bread and Butter Thing is a vital service that supports many people across our area.

Being the first hub in the whole of the East Midlands to host the service is something we will always be proud of 😊

🌟 Wonderful Wednesday 🌟

A week behind but here we are 🤪

Last week at our wonderful hub we were entertained by the amazing Travis Graham with a fabulous country set.
Our hubbers and the guys and gals at Inspire-Lincs had a great time on the dance floor as always, we were all tapping our feet and clapping our hands to the songs 💃🏼🤠

Thank you so much to Travis for the music 🎵

Thank you to our amazing volunteers for all their hard work, including a delicious jacket potato lunch 🤤Barbara for the yummy cakes and all of our hubbers for joining in with the fun each week 💜

We are very proud to have celebrated 3 years of The Bread and Butter Thing in Old Leake and the fact we were the first to offer such a service in the whole of the East Midlands!

TBBT would not be in Old Leake if it wasn't for our wonderful Community Hub.

If you haven't popped along yet, please do. You are guaranteed a warm, friendly welcome.
We offer free refreshments, a light lunch and entertainment weekly.

We have the most amazing, hard working volunteers. If you would like to join us as a volunteer or just pop along to enjoy what the hub offers, please do 😊

🎄 Wonderful Wednesday 🎄

Our Christmas party yesterday was fabulous!
Old Leake Primary Academy entertained us all with some lovely Christmas songs - they were all brilliant 🥰

We had a delicious cooked lunch of turkey, pigs in blankets, stuffing, veg and potatoes 😋 with mince pie and cream for after 🤤

Live music by the fantastic Angie - her energy and enthusiasm always amazes me 😅
There was lots of dancing, fun and laughter.
And we finished with a couple of games of pass the parcel with JB.

Firstly would like to send a massive thank you to our volunteers. They have worked incredibly hard for several days - shopping, prepping, cooking, serving, cleaning up.
Their hard work does not go unnoticed and we really appreciate each and every one of them 💜

Another big thank you to Pete and all at The White Hart charity for once again supporting us with a very generous donation.
We are incredibly grateful 🙏🏼

Another thank you to The New Hope Church for their incredible donation to a few families who are finding things a bit difficult at the moment.

We love that part of the hub, being able to help those who are struggling and having a tough time.

Finally to our favourites at Inspire-Lincs 🥰 thank you for all your help throughout the year. For the fun, laughter, the best dancing and of course all of the hugs 💜

🌟 Wonderful Wednesday 🌟

This week we had the Frampton Handbells getting us in the Christmas spirit with their wonderful bells 🎄
Big thank you to them all for once again putting on a great performance for us 😊

Following on from the handbells we had Walter and Keith’s Christmas Number 1s Quiz (otherwise known as Sharpie and Wally Gator Productions) 😆
This was thoroughly enjoyed by all and was won by Inspire-Lincs (20 correct answers out of 24) 🥳

The kitchen volunteers dished up a delicious jacket potato lunch followed by homemade cakes and jelly 😋

Our next Wonderful Wednesday sees even more fun, live music, laughter, friendship and good food.
