It's been a long time since we've posted, but we are still VERY active behind the scenes and accepting donations of phones, tablets and laptops to support individuals and community groups.

We've been working with local charities, groups and individuals to help redistribute all of the donations we've received. Donations have been much slower this year so this has severely limited our ability to help.

We received a request for help from Hilton village hall and were delighted to be able to send an iMac and a couple of PCs to support them. We hope these will be well used by the local community.

Thank you to everyone that has donated a device and continues to do so. We literally couldn't do it without you.

We've been working with local charities, groups and individuals to help redistribute all of the donations we've received. Donations have been much slower this year so this has severely limited our ability to help.

We were delighted to support a school last month in Kenya via Derby County Community Trust. The school had their very first laptop as a donation from us last year. This time, the children received two tablets of their own to use and aid them with their education.

It's incredibly humbling to think how much of a difference this can make to their lives all thanks to donations for you ❤️.

Facebook might have been quiet for a while but that doesn't mean we haven't been very busy behind the scenes.

Early in the year we were delighted to send our third laptop donation international.

Miss Richards from Ashbrook Junior school went out to visit a school in Kenya. They've previously tried to save up for a laptop, but each time, something more important has always come up.

There were smiles and tears as they received their first laptop, which makes it all worthwhile.

Thank you for every single donation we've received, if you have anything at all to donate, please get in touch and we'll work to get it a new home.

We currently have a number of donated desktop computers with monitors (and keyboards and mice) looking for a home. They just need a wireless USB Wi-fi adapter which cost around £7 from Amazon.

As there are no charities we are aware of looking for any right now, are there any individuals in the community that might benefit from one instead?

They are completely free, if you are able to give a donation however the JustGiving link is below. I'm completely self funded and as an example a replacement charger is £15 with a screen repair costing at least £20. So thanks for any donations.

The greatest thing about Techcycle is knowing how much you can help other people. Something gathering dust in your drawer, is a lifeline and game changing for someone else.

It feels like I'm always asking for something 😂, but know that it's always helping someone else.

After about 15 years of ballot failure, I've finally secured a TCS London Marathon charity place to run in 2024 🏃‍♂️.

But there is a catch, I need to raise a terrifying £2000 💷 by March 🤢😱 to secure the place. Meningitis Now is an amazing charity and is close to both our hearts. We've both seen people we knew die from such an awful thing.

So if you can spare a pound, five, twenty or a thousand 🤣 or anything in between please donate and help. If 2000 people donated just £1, I'm all done with fundraising. Don't forget to say yes to gift aid and no to the platform fee (custom £0).
