Today we have had Maya from The Great British Scout Hut Challenge join us overnight on her epic journey to visit as many scout huts as possible in 7 days!!

Following advice from Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue, as of 13 July 2026 all fires and charcoal BBQs will not be permitted until further notice at our Hertfordshire based Activity Centres. Only cooking on gas, raised off the floor and in a well ventilated area is allowed.

Likewise Affinity Water have notified us that we have now entered into a hosepipe ban in the Hertfordshire area. Groups will only be permitted to use water pistols or sponges filled from a bucket if they need to do so.

We understand this may bring a few challenges and changes to your programme, but safety is our priority as ever. We will communicate again if any situation changes.

Cubs In Tents 2026 is well under way!

This morning we have climbing, rear steer carts, tree climb, backwoods cooking, mini golf, archery, inflatable assault course, caving and so so so much more!!!

Not with us this year!? You're missing out! make sure you keep an eye out for next years event!!

Just 2 days to go until our first weekend of Beavers In Tents!!

The Marquees are going up, the activities are moving in, the grass has been mowed..... now all we need is the 120 beavers 🦫

What a Weekend!!!

The last of The Boys Brigade have now left, and we're having a Strim and Mow round getting ready for another busy one next weekend for Beavers In Tents round 1!!

Huge thanks as always to the Staff and Volunteers who make these weekends possible.

Its the end of volunteer week, and we wanted to say a huge thank you to our dedicated volunteer service crew.

This exceptional group of people, from all walks of life, are the soul of Well End.
The reason the site looks so good, the renewed energy and drive is thanks to them.

Please take the time to stop and say Hi when you see them around the site. They'll have been out doing something amazing to keep the site on its upward trajectory!!

What can we say!?
What a start to the season!!
Building removals and renovations, toilet refresh while we await delivery of our new ones.... lots of very busy weekends with regular and new customers, our first exclusive use event of the year, which saw the boys brigade and girls brigade bring 250 young people to site..... and NOW the silly season starts!!!
Jam packed weekends of fun from now on in.
